Were these upgrades done in the background? I just wanna make sure I didn't miss anything lol. I can say so far my firmware is running great!! Geo-Filter is amazing and the layout for the new OS is very sleek! Thanks to the Netduma team for putting in serious work on this bad boy 😁

Not sure how blame lies with us for hardware that has nothing to do with us at all but okay. You say we pass the blame but most people wouldn't even know to look at ISP line issues if we hadn't introduced the Internet Diagnostics feature TO HELP people. We actively tell them to contact their ISP to try and get them to rectify the issue. If there are bugs then we acknowledge those but we're not going to sit back and say yes your ISP line issue is totally on us when the issue was there before our product was even purchased by them, we just helped bring it into the light.

Regardless, thanks for your feedback. If you have any issues please make a support thread.

Yeah... that's true, i didn't think about that in my half awake state lol. It'd be nice if the COD Dev's would set it up to where the dedi's only picked you up if you were say, 80 milliseconds or less from it? Thus allowing for geo-filtering to be done on their end and it would keep lag comp minimal from server to server. A man can dream right? Thanks for the quick responses as always Fraser, hope you're well my forum friend

Shameless Bump because i'm interested in this as well. Also, i can understand there not being one for the sake of "But you guys said it was in the FINAL PHASE!" nonsense. Anyways, got a lot of faith invested into you guys that this new OS will be slick as fuuuuu. I really hope your team is doing well and that your family and loved ones are all in good health and standing. Thanks for everything guys

TG3NOC1D3 got a reaction from BOLDSHOTER in IPV6 ISP QUESTION
I used to have Suddenlink in Pflugerville,Tx and i used the IPV6 network for my Xbox's because it gave a double open NAT for BO3. IPV6 is easier for NAT due to it being a public facing IP block that you actually receive from your ISP. Seeing as how you use a PS4, there'd be no benefit because Sony is stuck on IPV4. Even on IPV6 only on my Xbone, i never saw lower ping on BO3 or Halo. Granted, some networks like AT&T don't use real IPV6, they use IPV6to4. A tunnel i believe it's called.

Don't count on it.. there is no set in stone date for DUMAOS, for all we know could be April, or May, bugs pop up like a grass weed in the ground, one after another.

I have an Asus RT-AC87U running my Wi-Fi for the house that is plugged into the last port on my Netduma. However, on that model, if i had it running as the router, i could use their dual WAN mode and bond two at&t lines to get 40/2 as i currently have 20/1. Netduma alone does not have this feature but tbh, unless you just wanna download games faster, it won't help with ping or connection my man.

I've messed around with about every setting on the duma, still do.Just to find out if I change setting x what happens or what happens when I use this group of settings on my network, does it make gameplay better worse or same...always looking for change good or bad.

What I noticed was when I throttled my connection down hard,100-125 Kbps, I would have trouble finding lobbies until I turned my GF off and then I would find lobbies but they were't the normal lobbies I usually played in.And it seemed like the entire lobby was full of less then ideal internet connections ( speed wise ) I did notice that every time I did this it was the same results, so it was something that I could replicate on a consistence basis. And yes I would lose chat function due to my extremely low speeds and lag myself out but the other party members didn't notice it thru their gameplay.

And my guess your friends lag for a completely different reason, that or your squashing your connection beyond the point of reasonable. So I would throttle less, maybe start with 70/70 and tweak from there.

We've already told you, with your connection being at 5mb up and 30mb down it has NOTHING to do with your friends lag.
That's more than enough for the game to play, that's roughly what I have BEFORE I use the anti-flood sliders.
If they are lagging then it's their internet that's causing it, unless you're using the Geo Filter to drop your party into weird lobbies on the other side of the world or something similar.

When people talk about 'throttling' in a negative way, they are referring to pushing the bandwidth to the very limit that you can use for gaming in the hope of causing the game to give you an advantage against 'lag-comp'. Personally I think that's all bollocks but everyone has an opinion on it and they are entitled to have one of course.

As you still have 5mb/30mb, most wouldn't even consider that you are 'throttling', not with the 'trying-to-manipulate-lag-comp' negative connotations at least.

You can adjust the sliders on-the-fly of course, in-game...
As far as I know, this won't cause a drop in connection that will get you kicked from the lobby.

edit - as your friend has 1mb up (still more than enough to game on), it's most likely that someone else at his house has jumped online and saturated his connection. It wouldn't take much to do it. A youtube video would crush his gaming no question.

I mean, have you looked at your ping time on the server you connect to and how much jitter (the wiggle from 25ms to 27-28 ms) you have on it? You should have your friends runs ping plotter and rule out their own connections before they blame you. Either that or they are sharing low bandwidth between to many people in a house. Variables bro, always account for variables. I've owned my duma for over a year almost and i just got my settings dialed in due to a non grounded wire coming from the terminal to my home as well as a old splitter for dsl/phone. Trust me, THIS ROUTER WORKS. You just have to get through the variables.

TG3NOC1D3 got a reaction from fuzzy clam in I love this router but hate Infinite Warfare!
I actually ended up finding the problem and suffice to say, it wasn't the game! I had a wire that wasn't grounded on my end and a old dsl internet/phone splitter they left on my house because i used to have phone service with AT&T and now i don't lol. I now hold pretty steady at 25ms on the Dallas sever i believe? Needless to say, i love this router with all my heart and soul, it actually makes my u-verse stable when everyone is on netflix or downloading updates. Very much looking forward to seeing how stable i can get the latency with the anti-spike and anti-jitter. Cheers Man!
