Thanks for the feedback, we're working on some improvements to Geo-filter and this is one of the things we're looking to address.

It would be cool for y'all to tease what your plans are for 2021 when it comes to firmware improvements & features.
I'd love to see a monthly blog outlining what's been going on behind the scenes.
I'm sure y'all have a rough idea of what you'd like to accomplish this year. Teasing some of your plans will give us something to look forward to.
You could tease something that everybody keeps asking me about.
    Themes!
Do you guys have any made up already? Are you willing to share a screenshot? Is it something that's on the road map for this year?

Everyone is constantly asking about the next firmware. Teasing things that'll show up in the next firmware should calm and excite everyone at the same time.
When someone asks about the next firmware you could direct them toward the blog outlining what cool new stuff will be there for them to mess with.
    * Sorry no ETA on when the firmware will arrive but here are some things to look forward to when it's ready *
That sounds so much better than "sorry no ETA" by itself.

    Thanks for the suggestion @KindaBusted!
I like the idea for sure, we do like to occasionally give teasers for things that we think our users will be excited about. The trouble is a lot of time we are working on backend things or internal tools that aren't really visible to the user. That being said, we do have a couple of tools that we're really proud of and are thinking about showing off to you guys probably through a YouTube video. We're also considering doing some more behind the scenes stuff on the YouTube channel so keep an eye out there!
The team here is growing rapidly and there's some really big things in the works, we just don't want to tease anything we can't deliver on yet as we've been stung in the past for that.
I'll speak with the team about this idea, I really like the idea of keeping you guys up-to-date with what's happening at Duma HQ and what you might be able to expect for the future.
P.S. Themes are happening, I don't have a screenshot to share unfortunately but from what I've seen you're going to like it 👀

KindaBusted got a reaction from Newfie in No more in-game ping
If you dig into the menus before starting a game you can actually see ping to all the servers.
I made a post about it and asked netduma to match the servers with real locations.
Hopefully that's something they can do sometime soon because the server names on COD are vague.

KindaBusted reacted to Netduma Fraser in Cod Servers Shown In Game!
It's certainly possible that we can try to do that as we do have names for servers on some other games, will ask the team.

When looking at the Category Breakdown while playing on Xbox I've only seen unknown/web/uncategorized populate when gaming.
I decided to ask my Discord to see if anyone else is having issues & so far it looks like a Pc gamer with the XR1000 was able to populate the gaming category for a brief second.
Then after a few he had the same results with only unknown/web/uncategorized populating.
I'm still trying to see if PS is effected by this issue.

I've tested a few games on Xbox and they all behave the same & never populate the "gaming" category.

Would this be effecting how QOS handles the connection?
If you have the application bandwidth on QOS set for "Gaming" and gaming isn't picked up by DPI?

I actually asked the team to test this yesterday so I should have some news on this soon but I expect PS will show as gaming in Net Mon and not the Xbox, @Zippy brought this to my attention and so we're investigating. As TP will use ports for the console it should not be affected.

It applies the same priority information tags to packets going out to the ISP. The ISP may just ignore these tags, but you may see a performance improvement through using these tags.

So I am sick of NetGear treatment of owners of XR500 series. Lack of firmware updates and when there is there are problems with it. Always a device missing error after firmware update and I have to reinstall the old firmware. Bye Bye NetGear!!!

Hey all, hope you’re doing well.
Here’s the latest firmware update for the R2 – 3.0.205 (Sounds great, right?)
Nothing huge - but it welcomes several stability, security and general cosmetic improvements to your R2.
We recommend you make the upgrade and do a full factory reset afterwards, just to make sure you're starting from a clean slate!
You can go ahead and download it here:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/49gt1wxva9rxame/DumaOS-R2-3.0.205.sig?dl=0
Those that have an R2 on pre-order, rest assured that it will come with this latest firmware pre-installed - if you have any issues or queries, just give us a shout!
For the techies amongst you, here's a more detailed change log:
System-wide GUI improvements to both cosmetics and Security Increased DHCP cache size to 10000, stopping DHCP from being filled by 1500 requests Improved Traffic Prioritisation for wireless devices Fixed occasional issue where IPv6 devices weren't assigned DHCP IPs DumaOS webserver fixes for improving operating smoothness of GUI Improved DPI detection services Improved Bandwidth Allocation backend

I hope so too because this issue is really annoying.
I've tried everything I can think of twice.
    It's driving me absolutely nuts.
Been busy today but tomorrow is free and open.
I'll keep a really close eye on the forums so we can figure this out.
    Thanks again for your help.
