Sgt-Greco got a reaction from purpleandgold33 in Major Announcement: Netduma partner with NETGEAR to launch the Nighthawk XR500 Gaming Router
I wish Netduma crew the best of luck with their new partner.

    Just a couple of thoughts.
I find it rather unlikely to purchase, not because of the high price, but because I feel "betrayed"..... It just doesn't feel right.
I'm not aware of the terms or the agreement of this partnership, but I think Netuma devs should insist on top priority for early buyers. After all, these guys supported the new product, helped the community, uploaded tons of videos with tutorials, settings, reviews etc.

One more thing to all the "it will be ready when it's ready" dudes. Maybe now you've learned your lesson why it is so important to keep your mouth shut every now and then.

See, this is what irks me. DumaOS will actually take longer on the device that it was meant to run on, but suddenly, it will run oh so fine on hardware it was never considered running on.
It just doesn't add up. And to reply to the comment about the iPhone (even though I use Android), how would you feel if you were hoping for an iOS update that would fix your issues, only to have it ready at a later time on YOUR phone, but somehow sooner on a completely (more expensive) device?

What bothers me is, if DumaOS is ready for a different device, what stops them releasing it for the device they have been working on for years, the way it should have been. I am not against Netduma growing and making partnerships, but effective client relationships are much improved by transparency, and this feels like you graduating college and celebrating at a neighbor's house instead of with the family that paid for your damn major in the first place.

I really don’t know what to make of this... Clearly netgear are now calling all the shots whenever people mentioned the update they got shut down with arrogant comments like “it will be ready when it’s ready” we’ve been fed silly pictures with click bait titles and then this is announced looool someone called it earlier in the post “this is EA level evil” and I agree. Nice way to s**t on your loyal fan base, I can see now the netduma is going to be shafted and I’m certain netgear will call all the shots I can see certain features being netgear exclusive and netgear will most likely get first pick in updates just look at the current situation as an example, before anyone from Duma disagrees all I’m going to say is “it’s ready when it’s ready” which translates to; it’s ready for netgear but yeah you guys have to wait until April... whatever man on the bright side I can finally drop this trash router and get something with decent specs like the netgear.

Sgt-Greco got a reaction from Cloedoe in Gigabit Fiber Settings - The struggle is real
    - Circumscribe the largest possible area near you, where no dedicated server exists.
    - Zero your PA value
    - Make sure Strict Mode is on
    - Make sure PSN friends outside the above area are in your allow list, so they can join your sessions and avoid chat NAT type issues.

The closest server in my case (I live in Athens) is the Milan server, so I try to circumscribe an area where boundaries reach the outskirts of Milan.

Once again let me say that the ability to force p2p IS A HUGE BENEFIT in areas where there are no dedicated servers around.
Netduma crew must point that out even more.

    Sorry for my poor English
    Hope that helps.

    Happy New Year.
Killcams are screenshots stiched together, thus very far from being accurate.
Netduma works perfect for me but I still believe that the game will put you in the best dedi possible when your service is disabled. So I use it only when I want to force p2p.

    Sounds like double NAT.
Check your WAN IP in both separately. If you see a local IP (for example 192.168.x.x) in one of them, then you have two devices performing NAT.

That is good, but does it make any difference to your gaming? I spent hours doing the same thing over a few days, but when I played BO's it still was very inconsistent.
It has gotten that way that I don't even bother running DSL reports as IMO it is ok at the time of the test, as soon as you start gaming it goes to rat shi:)

I feel sorry for the devs of IW, they took a lot of flak for making another jetpack CoD but the game is so smooth and so polished - I genuinely think it's one of the best CoDs.

I purchased GL.iNet GL-AR150  just for gaming and testing.

16Mb flash, 64Mb RAM, 400MHz CPU, but what I like the most is that it's fully supported by at least 4 different open source Firmwares.
