Sgt-Greco reacted to Netduma Fraser in Black Ops 4 Geo-Filter Cloud needs your help!
I am in the process of going through all the Black Ops 4 servers available to determine if they are classified correctly i.e. Peer/Dedicated and to ensure they're in the correct location. I believe most are correct. However, I need a lot of ID's/IP addresses in order to do a thorough job of making sure once a cloud update goes out that I've got everything accurate the first time around. So please if you get a chance to help provide the following information by following these instructions (Written for PS4 but works on Xbox & PC). Even if you only have time for one it will be very helpful.
Wait on the console dashboard Have the Geo-Filter set with Filtering Mode on, home location in the ocean, strict mode enabled. Auto Ping disabled. Boot up Black Ops 4, when it gets to the point where you have to click 'x', click x and then look at the Geo-Filter. You should see all the servers on the world map. Click on any one of these servers then collect (please only post in this format or it will be hard to follow):
Server location on the map
Your location Once you've collected this, quit the game application completely so you're back on the console dashboard and repeat. The more information we get from users the more accurate we can be when we do a cloud update. Post the collected information here. Thanks for your help!

Sgt-Greco got a reaction from AzteQ in Open Beta of DumaOS on the Netduma R1: General Discussion
Since R1 is an old piece of hardware, is it possible in future OS releases to have an option to disable features that stress the processor, like bandwidth monitor for example?
PS. Sorry if the question sounds stupid.
Sgt-Greco got a reaction from Monzo in High Ping Dedi Servers
I have to be honest. I can't say BO4 plays worse than BO3 even with these higher ping values. Random WTF moments every now and then but this is Call of Duty. This game is the worst "gauge" to estimate your connection quality.
I also had a few Host Migrations.
Long story short, I don't know what the f* is going on.
Sgt-Greco reacted to Netduma Jack in High Ping Dedi Servers
It's literally just overloaded servers; the quality of the actual servers on their end will be extremely low due to the massive amount of players running on them. Playing Black Ops 3 using your Netduma should be enough to prove that there's nothing fishy going on with your router / setup.
Sgt-Greco reacted to Netduma Admin in Open Beta of DumaOS on the Netduma R1: General Discussion
Actually it’s a very smart question! This is why you can disable QoS in Anti-Bufferbloat. It’s the equivalent of the old Super Turbo mode, as it allows around 700mbps throughput.

Is the update for the R1 available yet?
No? It's already been a while since April 16th. I'm not kidding guys.
Let's face the state we loyal customers are in.
In my opinion, there won't be an update for the R1 any time soon.
Release dates have been missed with vague arguments about new release dates.
And even bugfixes for the R1 haven't been released since more than 2 years.
We were promised a lot of features for the R1, such as anti-jitter/spike.
Maybe this whole "Router Revolution" advertising was just that - marketing!?
Take a look at Netgear. Even the XR500 lacks the features from above and even there
hasn't been an update recently bringing revolutionary features to the router. Mostly bugfixes.
Maybe the DumaOS isn't exactly that what Netduma had expected.
Maybe this is due to hardware limitations or some other issues.
I think for me it's time to leave this community for a longer period of time and to turn to other gaming routers meaningwhile.
I still hope that all of you get the desired update for the R1 one day.
For me personally, I don't care anymore... Sadly!
A little more transparancy of Netduma could help quite a bit and ensure that the community stays strong in supporting Netduma in the future. We were the paying customers that had made Netduma what they are today.
I'm very disappointed of them.

Sir you are wrong to say "people need to relax because they received what they paid for when it came to the Netduma R1 Gaming Router."
They have been advertising the R1 router that includes a free DumaOS update for quite some time .If you included the Free item as part of your advertising of said product, you must deliver. Its that simple. Here is a perfect example. Video cards come with free games every once in a while. Would they be able to get away with not giving you the "free game" as promised ? I don't think so.
Why this is overlooked by people who post otherwise baffles me.
Let be accurate, The most recent announcement is another misleading part to the history of the Netduma R1. Its deceiving the way this company back tracks on these things , multiple times I might add and its been happening for quite some time.
I don't believe the backwards compatibility aspect of the statement at this point. I have had firmware updates in the past from other devices that couldn't revert back to the previous firmware. All they did was state up front that the upgrade is not reversible. So this IMO is BS.
No offense, but sticking up for a company with the reasons you mentioned makes me wonder if your have hit your head on something recently. I hope you feel better.

I know one thing, that I will never buy a Netduma linked product ever again. It is not just about the delays guys, it's about transparency, communication and therefore respect! If you can't the NetdumaOS to work probably with the R1 then that sucks but that's life, but complete radio silence and no support for the NetdumaR1 at all, no bug fixes and or any other fix for that matter is a huge slap in the face. This company has their priorities all wrong and I can't understand how a small start-up like this, things they will ever survive with an attitude like ........
Wut?! You actually released the net NetdumaOS on the R1! '' Now that is great, but I wasn't pounding my head against the wall because of that, noooo, I was pounding my head because in my eyes the Netduma and it's Army was something special and you just threw it away.
I want to wish everyone good luck, I finally got my (R1) money back so it is time to move on.

Damn, bought it very early with the promise for more features coming "very soon" ...hmm that was for over 2 years with the poor pocket of a student.
So sad about that trolling behaviour of the Duma Team and the trust i spend You guys..."Strict Mode" doesn't work since months for Destiny (2) ...the beaver is loughing at me...damn
You can't sell something with promised features and don't Deliver for such a long time...money back plz cuz i got a semi working router for much Money which doesn't work for so long time...

I have a PS4 Pro, and use my scuf controller to play most of the time, I actually tried keyboard and mouse, and let me tell you that it is kind of difficult to get used to. I've tried keyboard and mouse for a week now, and I still haven't got used to it. I honestly feel it's hard to get used too, and don't understand how people can like this. (I guess if you started with keyboard and mouse first and went on to controller, it's different.)
Are there any advantages you ask? Well the thing I used was a cronus max plus to use keyboard and mouse for my PS4 Pro, easy to setup, but I didn't feel like there were advantages. You can customize your keyboard buttons to do the actions in-game, and people say the precision is or should be better for aiming, but meh I didn't like it that much, or have not used it long enough to be good with it. It just didn't feel the same with a controller in your hand. Gameplay was more difficult too tbh. People say you can turn around faster, but you can do the same with controller and put your in-game sensitivity higher. I'm not sure what they mean by moving faster.
Honestly, I don't think it's better, but as you know I haven't used the Mouse and keyboard long enough. On my Scuf PS4 controller, the only thing different is I have the kontrolfreek vortex which makes my aim alot more better rather than the small default ps4 thumbsticks, and then included with the scuf controller is the paddles that come on the back, but I think you already know about that.

Hey Luke, Fraser or Iain,
As the release was only to be delayed by "a few more weeks at the absolute most", and it's been a few more weeks, could we please at least have some info on what's happening if the update itself isn't to be deployed yet?
Every patiently waiting Netduma fanboy.
Sgt-Greco reacted to Elrod in R1 DumaOS Briefly Delayed
Why do so many people take up for the Duma team. We should have got this update at or before the release of the XR500. We paid $200 for software and updates, the R1 hardware is not worth a 3rd of that. We where the early adopters aka test dummies, yet as soon as they made a major deal we fell to last priority. People in this generation expect so little from businesses that the have actually convinced themselves that poor service is okay. In my younger days (1980s) this behavior was unexcepable.
Sgt-Greco reacted to Grafight in R1 DumaOS Briefly Delayed
There's a reasonable probability that NetDuma has been in discussion for months about being acquired by Netgear. It's a great fit for Netgear; they are a HW company and Netduma is really a software company (that delivers their software on a HW device).
Certainly (having been involved in M&A several times) you would spend a lot of time with lawyers and Netgear might want to a) ensure that the device is properly backward compatible to meet EU / US consumer law requirements or (if you're cynical) have no intention on delivering DumaOS on the OG R1 and will quietly kill off the product after the acquisition.
All of this is pure hypothesis, I don't have any inside info and so should be taken with a pinch of salt. Like the rest of you, I'm an OG R1 user and would really like to see DumaOS on it.
Sgt-Greco reacted to Miss Vendetta in R1 DumaOS Briefly Delayed
I can understand all perspectives on this. My viewpoint (because I want to share it, not expecting anyone to care)..
I'm not angry, I've never been angry... just really disappointed. The optics for us OG R1 users is not the best as we've been continuously let down (and at times misled) over the past year+. It's unlikely that your legal team waited til the last minute to inform you of this..So your PR failed you quite remarkably, IF you're being 100% honest with us (which I hope you are..). Regardless, I continue to feel like a kid on Christmas eve waiting with so much anticipation...
PLEASE don't let us down.
