    CALL OF DUTY MODERN WARFARE: PACKET BURST PROBLEM 
    Unfortunately, restoring the bandwidth in the qos flower did not work.
    I also tried to prioritize up and down 10mbps but that didn't work either so I went back to my usual settings.
    All of this I tried with both mtu 1500 and 1492 (ps4) in the wan interface no touched.
    Then around the forum I read the post of someone who recommended to lower the anti-bufferbloat scroll lines a little bit (even if then turn it off) to make room for some packages that could get lost but this for me led to see strange things in the game (people who cared without the stimulant in their hands and opponents who ran standing still in the same position) so I went back to 100% and turn it off, but I think these are strictly personal settings.
    Failing to capture the ps4 traffic with wireshark, the last thing I tried was the second suggested set of rules and it went really well. For 5 games I didn't have any packet explosions (never happened since the game was released) but then they slowly reappeared, but not as before. Neither as number nor as importance of lag (lag yes but smaller).
    So after all the attempts made in these 3 months (and they were really many) I can say with 99% certainty that the key to solve this problem lies in finding the perfect set for traffic priority and here you need help from netduma with cloud updates by studying the case. It's not their fault what clearly happens, but the game that doesn't work well for those with strong connections. Even on reddit those who have this problem are people with very fast connections. We are lucky to use this router and so we can study, try and experiment with traffic priority and all the settings that this OS makes available to us, others probably will never solve it since activision does nothing. 
    In conclusion if you can't or don't know or don't want to do a data traffic acquisition with wireshark I suggest you to try this set of rules and see what works best for you (I haven't tried to use both of them) you can try if you want but in my opinion it's not a good idea, but I could be wrong.
    The following rules are to be created in the traffic priority by deleting the already existing ones and deactivating the option games classified dumaos.
    Instead of XXXX you have to write your udp port that changes according to the device you are playing with, those detected so far are 3074 (for ps4 and pc) and 3075 (for xbox)

    These rules are approximate and the fact remains that the best ones will be those created by you by analyzing your traffic.

    I am only now seeing this discussion, which has my problem as its title, so from today I will only write about it here.
    I also kindly ask you to write to me only here about this, both not to follow any more topics and not to create confusion for us and for the people who will come maybe later.
    I am still having the packet burst, but not as before (much less and with smaller stutterings when they occur).
    Here are my rules and steps to apply them correctly.
    I remember that the rules are to be created in traffic priority. XXXX stands for your udp port, it depends on the device you play with (3074 ps4 and pc, 3075 xbox).
    Delete all existing rules and deselect games classified dumaos;
    Turn off the router, wait 1 minute and unplug the power from the router and not from the socket (this step should restore the router cache, we recommend not to do it often) wait 2 minutes and unplug and turn on the router;
    go to traffic priority and write these rules (these are my rules that work for my connection and my game, I hope they work for you too but it's not safe, it depends on many things)
    First rule
    Source XXXX : XXXX
    Destination 50000 : 65000
    UDP Protocol
    Second rule
    Source 50000 : 65000
    Destination XXXX : XXXX
    UDP Protocol
    I hope it will be of help to many of you and if you decide to try it I invite you to write whether or not it worked for you.

     I WILL POST  COD MW PORTS  jUST  BELOW HERE these are the ones i found so far i will keep updating it with new ones here
     
    I recently upgraded to new dumar os fw and think its great but its missing one thing important i think
     
    In network monitor it now does not show you what ports the game you play is connected to uses
    In cod bo4   now cod mw 20019   i used this feature all the time 
    In cod bo4 same for cod mw19 everytime you would join a new lobby  it would show us new ports it was connected to.
    You would always be connected to two  ports in every game this first port is always port 3074 udp the second was always diffrent ever new lobby you join uses diffrent ports
    If you stayed in the same lobby for an hour the two ports would be the same for an hour or how long you stayed in that lobby . Once you change lobbys  the game changes ports it uses so you need to put new ports in traffic  priortaztion
    I think this is why the connection keeps varying 
     
    For cod  mw 2019  its now three ports instead of two
     
    HERES  WHY ITS IMPORTANT
    when i put in the ports it uses for that game in traffic priortization my hit registration would get a lot lot better  i did this before on cod ww2 now i do it for cod mw2019 and it helped my hit registration  .And on cod bo4 
    Somtimes i would do this during a game.    i would be playing a game and struggling to get a kill then in same lobby same people playing i would enter those port number in and the hit registration was great easier kills same for cod mw2019
    EVEN  IF YOUR NOT PLAYING COD you still might need it for other games.
     i used it for all my other games to help get a better connection  and i would like to use it in the future for new games
    I really dont wanna downgrade to an older fw just to use this feature as it was so GREAT
    SO ANY GAME YOU WANNA SEE  WHAT  PORTS IT USES YOU NEED THIS 
    As some games it dosent  tell you all the ports it uses
    I would love to use this for red dead redemption 2 online when its released soon
    Fraser told me if enough peole want this feture back in the firmware they would put it back in

    READ FROM HERE for cod mw 2019 and how to set up ports correctly 
    From members who know how to set it up correctly  below

    He knows more about it than i do ahe advised me how to set it up correctly
     
    Just letting you guys know i think now playing cod mw that the next update that the dumar has has to reinstall the older network monitor 
    My hit detection \hit registration  is now brilliant since i done these steps
    Heres why
    If you want your hit registration or hit detection  to be great read this
    When playing cod mw  the game uses 3 ports to play thats if you want godd hit detection  \hit registration 
    The first is port 3074 this is on ps4 i think its 3075 on xbox but i am not sure i dont know about pc
    The second port stays the same untill you restart the game i think this is the data centre or either matchmaking
    The 3rd port is  changes every new game  this is the dedi or peer your playing on
    Thats why you see new people every game  and thats why you do good one game but not the next
    Thats because you changed dedis  and the ports have changed
     
     So thats why you need 3 ports every game  the first is 3074  the send is the matchmaking or data centre the 3rd is for the game mode you play
    Atm i am making a list for  the ports it uses
    Just letting you know  you can do this yourself to see what ports is needed  but you have to downgrade to the older firmware  well thats on netdumar1
    I dont know about other routers  
    Also this cane be done if you have a router with openwrt on it
    You would have to ask admins   as i dont know anything about the other routers

    But you can still see how the people use traffick  prortization correctly  you just input your ports instead of the outdated ones

    Every time that I try a new setting, in case that it works, the happiness only last for 1-2 games at maximmum, and then the game become the same mess as always, and this new tweak never in live works again.
    The final proof was this weekend in wich I had a wonderful game in a Russian peer (wich I thought the ping was high enough to avoid lag-com), and a few games after, the same peer gave a very-very bad game, and I wasn´t able to find a good game again, neither in Russia, Conchinchina, or whathever country for the rest of the day.
    I know that many users of this forum are suffering the same issue, so I would like to read your opinions. What do you think about this? What's your experience?
    I personally think that when the game detects that you are so advantadge, somehow, it study your connection, and makes sure to break your actual settings so it will never work again.

    Yesterday I saw the light at the end of the tunnel for the first time 🤣
    I had a game with a single explosion of packages and with a fluidity never had on any cod.
    I had given up on finding a solution by resigning myself, but now thanks to @East who gave me the right input I could come up with a solution.
    To finish the job, however, I need your help because I can't get wireshark to read the ps4 ports, can you tell me how to do it step by step please?
    In some comments here on the forum I read that before it was possible to do it directly via router, I take this opportunity to say that I vote for a reintroduction of this too important option that should not be missing on a gaming router.
    There is one thing to say though, @Grafti opened my eyes to something I had never thought about and now that he said it I thought about my games is unfortunately a sad reality. I tried these settings that I will share once the work is finished while I was alone and not with friends in the lobby where for reasons that you can understand I am always the host.
    @Grafti now I understand why when I am alone I have less stutter than when I host people, it is shameful.
    The advice you give me (on the beam instead of on the ping assist) is very good and I appreciate it, I got to go to play on the Spanish and French servers and it was running much better than the Italian one but I have 2 problems in doing what advise me.
    1) I don't understand why I am thrown on the lobby ≤75 ping;
    2) I have many friends on ps4 (492) of which roughly 100 I often play on cod so I should add them all among the allowed ones.
    It would be nice to go back to the ray also because since I use ping assist I can no longer participate in the PS4 vocal party as it does not hook the nat with other people. All of this since the ps4 7.00 update came.
    But isn't there a way to use beam and ping assist together?

    We did one cloud update but we have since learned that we hadn't caught all of the PSN servers. We have collected lots more PSN servers and i've put them into the queue to be whitelisted, but that won't take effect until I publish the next update. I've been busy this week, so I haven't had a chance yet to do another update. I will get it done before the end of the day on Friday.
