Okay we'll keep an eye on this one, glad you found a workaround. We will be introducing more diagnostics in future to help narrow down issues like these.

    a Pun --- Whatt'sAP un ??? ūüôā

    Correct,
I'm pretty sure something is hindering WhattsApp in DUMA managed network.
(I didn't had so many bad xp not even on Cell data while travelling in car !)

But ... no idea at all  about Whatt's hindering it.

    Was that a pun?
So you've managed to fix it temporarily by enabling a low bandwidth mode in the app itself, which is good. But it sounds like your network shouldn't be considered low bandwidth if it wasn't for this bug.

    Oh WOW!

    Thanks Alex, that clarify!

but sure I'm deluded: I bought a "Duma's" router ... (to get rid of..)
    ... because ...
...I had over my head of the Netgear crappy software, more that I could stand!!

(and now, probably, you as well ūüôā¬†)

    Alain

PS: too many similarity to Netgear issues I've found reflected in DUMA but I didn't knew why , now I know.

I agree ... and same mistake here.

DUMA's engineer are may be not the problem.
I suppose main fault is Netgear, but in Duma... they didn't abstract their software from the HDW/SFW Netgear was offering...
    .... to make a SHINY User's experience.

As DDR-WRT has demonstrate you have no need for Netgear software.

It's often easier to rewrite some basic code then to travel piggy-back without knowing where you are going and how you're supported.

    Alain

PS: Good idea to give DDR-WRT a try

Sorry but what do you mean what router connected to net (isp).  I have at&t mobile data plan.  I plug the sim card into that and have ethernet running from thatbto the xr500.
Keep in mind im a complete noob

I have a static ip from the isp so i put that in the internet ip address and applied the ip address for the mr1100 in the gateway ip.  I have my dns set to manual on the mr1100 so i used those numbers in the dns settings.
I already had an ip assigned to the ps4.  Would you suggest assigning an ip to every device?
    Look ok?

This. I broke my own vow to not buy another Netgear product when I saw this router come out. I thought, "Hey, someone else doing the software!!! Cool, maybe I can rely upon this 3rd party to keep the system up to date." The jury is in. Nope. Another abandoned Netgear product. Shame on me.

Netduma work hard but none of the promises for the XR500 have materialised from back in March 2018. No  new icons for device manager, no GUI fix for Hybrid VPN undefinedB' 0.0 KiB in r-apps even in the Hotfix nothing was fixed in the GUI. Netduma had enough time to fix that GUI issue, also they said that Hybrid VPN would be turned off in the next update, well that didn't happen either nor did the "yes we will add a retest your speed button" which was promised along time before milestone 1.3 was released. Both sides are guilty here to a degree I would have to say.

If I may be so bold...

I've found a nice utility that keep tab on what "my computer" is doing on the Net.

But so far I didn't discover a way to get the same information from router.
    (overall traffic of the household)

I think the reasoning behind that is it hasn't affected many users, maybe 5 in total since the upgrade. The screenshot shows a 1 on the shield which means it has blocked something on the page, is there another screenshot I'm missing?

Glad that worked, it's to do with the upgrade of the forum that we did and theres no way for us to change that unfortunately

Are you looking in with the Display Name or Username as I believe you need to login with the Display name. It's not fully optimised for Brave shouldn't be too different from Chrome, suggested due to the other issue but try disabling the build in ad blocker as that may be interfering.

Ok I'm on Brave. (still FF is running)

I restored Windows and Tabs Using Tab Manager.
So I was able to start a spectacular Brave session with all the saved FF session.

The only problem was to login from Brave.
Didnt accept me, no reasons given, had to reset password to make it work.

Both are working now... when I started in full Brave.. PC resource didn't even noticed it !

I hate Google more than anyone, underhanded, spying, rogue adverts infecting millions on their scummy web search with their own agenda of an internet.
But the GUI uses a lot of a PC's CPU and can hammer a browser.
I use chrome for Netduma products with one tab only, they can spy on that if they like.
My suggestion is to do the above.
(If you do not configure Win 7/8/10 it will do more spying than Google, Apple, Amazon & Huawei combined) so relax about Google
(These are my own findings and not of Netduma. I am just a gamer)

In our defence, Chrome is so ubiquitous these days that it makes sense to target it as the key browser for compatibility. That said the ideal would obviously be for no browser to take priority over any other.
I saw a video recently about how Google, intentionally or not, end up breaking features on their websites for browsers other than Chrome. I think it's because they end up setting standards due to their massive userbase. Even Microsoft is now transitioning Edge onto Chromium.
EDIT: By the way I should say this is just my personal opinion, I didn't ask the devs.

    Update Scripts
    (no Duma - no crashes)

After last message in this thread and until now, I kept closed the "monitors" windows.
Closed, I mean non existing -
I reopened it in full now.
I used that utility we spoke in this thread, that save FF "Tab Sessions".

For all that 24h period FF  didn't get stuck or crashed.

Note: I was in a shopping spree ... opened 4 windows with an average of 20 tabs.

Chasing a new motorized bed, something like this
a bed stand like this one ( if I take a couple they give me the girl)

a new stall for the 65",  or
    (I'm digressing)

So while the load was bigger no crash.
Previously it was crashing also while on Amazon or Ebay - no only on Duma's tab.

I have no answer, but I let you know what I discover.

Am I a pretty deep tester enough ?

    Right¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬† !!! Details are better!!!¬†¬†¬† ūüôā

3 windows - one for each item. (maintaining   congruence is important!)
One tab for each  vendors/products observed (and opened for later filtering)  = a lot of tabs (40 50 or more)

    ahahahah!
    Having the Computer resources ....
...I do shop in a creative way !

    Alain

PS: It's always possible to think "resources exhausted"  discussing script issues...
....so I told about that shopping without Duma

Did a first test this morning-

Unexpected result - that windows seems not scaling correctly - no reason for what I know

(FF is set with DPI ... system)
