Interesting idea but the R2 is pretty old WiFi standard and might struggle with a density of clients as the backhaul channel will be a shared medium and of course the same channel would be used and that adds a bit more interference. Would slow down and add latency across the network in general use. Your throughput would be reduced too with this type of wireless connectivity.
 
now if they were to create an AP with a dedicated channel backhaul channel that would help but then the R3 being a single 2x2 would sacrifice airtime on its connection. Triband works better as they can often be used so one channel is used for mesh connection only and on a separate channel to help avoid interference.
For best practice the R3 would be matched with another WiFi 6 AP and I think a cable connection between the 2 would be beneficial to aid network flow rates and to help overall performance.

yeah was assuming WiFi would be around same speed/range etc just with the R3 being new but understand Netgear have more years in the game etc. 

You absolutely should not put your PC in the DMZ, that is a major security risk.
What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode

The only way I can think that might be happening is if it is trying to obtain the same IP or a different IP that another device already has which makes sense why setting a reserved one works as you force it to use a different one. 
It is better, it's not a hardware issue which is good because it can be easily fixed - the team are looking into it.
No that is not an easily achievable thing at all.
Try the suggestion above please and see if that helps. No he means that the OS can't just be put on other hardware.

That's a bug that needs sorting. Do you have an AP you can use so you can get connected while they try to sort out the issues with WiFi 

I was able to get it fixed! I downgraded the software and reinstalled the newest software and factory reset everything after that and that seemed to do the trick. Not sure if something messed up when I upgraded software but the issue seems to be resolved and I’m now able to play the game. Thank yall so much for helping me

I did do that and still won’t connect 
the MacBook stays connected but soon as i try the iPhone it knocks the MacBook off and iPhone doesn’t connect 

im still confused on how it can be the modem when i play on anything else im fine but my only issues are when im on this router, yea the modem prolly isnt the best but it just got put in yesterday and when i play strictly on the modem with my ethernet plugged into im fine

this is nice to see. but im wondering. if you have 1k/1k fiber or even ur speeds. wouldnt it take a lot of bandwith useage for bufferbloat to even be an issue?

I have realistic expectations as I read that it was pre-release. Sometimes acceptance gets confused with ignorance. I knew what I was getting into.

Oh, yeah, I have done this before, both when its in filtering mode and when its just in "observing" mode.  But each time the result is the same as when it auto pings it..... nothing or at best tells me that it "can't ping server"......  I am ever the optimist though, so later today after my obligations in life, I will load up the software that I am paying to beta test (I hope at the very least net duma sends me a nice thank you card when Christmas comes around cause I spent my Christmas money on being an unpaid and underappreciated beta tester for a router that was advertised as having functioning software.... we truly live in a crazy world!!!!)  I'll let let you know later Fraser what I see.  Imagine if Fraser comes clean people and tells us that he is not paid to work in this forum, but he has the Duma OS disease that we all seem to have (waiting hoping for a gaming router that actually works) but he as it worse than any other person and actually pays Net Duma to allow him to work overtime moderating a forum where everyone is frustrated...... Imagine

Turn QoS off unless your household/Network is saturating your connection. 
 
On a gig up and down you should have no issues. These tests simulate if you saturated your connection but reality you probably never do. 
Looking at your screen shots you have a very quiet network, just disable QoS and don’t worry these online tests.

So Exitlag does not maintain a good connection even though it lowers your ping?  
 
can I ask what your isp offers in the way of your package?
Could you name your isp out of interest please.
your main issue is the servers are not showing under your geo filter so you can’t select them. Perhaps you should link your video to help Fraser understand your issues.
