    @Netduma Alex
And maybe custom DNS options for HybridVPN like I previously mentioned. I think @Tripper would like this also for various VPN providers. It should have a basic / advanced mode. 😄

We will update the OpenVPN implementation at some point, but it should work fine for now as is.
Are you using the same config file that worked in the previous router?

That's a cool feature, that would be one for Netgear - I'll pass it on.

    Hello Community.
This topic is mainly for Sky Fibre users who want to eliminate two routers, and double NAT.
Sky is a UK ISP who provide fibre but also supply a crappy self OEM router which lacks anything good and their stupid DHCP Option 61 (MER) authentication system which pretty much means you can't use your own equipment on their network, so you have to use the XR500 behind DMZ blah blah and causing a double NAT issue when playing games and makes the XR500 less effective.
I've made a quick PDF guide to setup the XR500 on it's own and best to my knowledge is just a rough guide on what I did to get it working without a Sky router modem combo.
I ran the PDF through Virus Total for the benefit of the community, results are here:

I disagree. It is something every company "can" do. Not every company "will" do is the proper response. You guys have the resources to push support faster than a snails pace, but you choose not to. It isn't a matter of can or can't. Its a matter of choice. There are many companies that can compile hundreds of gigabytes of data a year into a program or game. How much more complex can a few megabytes in a firmware be? Is there only 1 guy doing all the work? Why? Greed? Share the wealth and grow your company by employing more staff. Find the bottleneck and fix it. You are bleeding reputation. reputation=profit.

Just a word of warning, unless you are confident with telnet I wouldn't advise doing so as you could cause more harm than good but let us know if that resolved the issue.

    Just for discussion..
I'd love a Netduma Router that has DSL port built in so i have only 1 Modem/router setup. Instead if having 2 products. Is this a possibility for the future?
    For me the Benefits are
no extra wires/ Ethernet's running all over
the DumaOs does all handles Everything and be plugged straight in the BT Socket skipping my Vigor 130 modem.
    Would be "AWESOME" tho!

After being DDoS'd for 2 1/2 hours and being unable to reach customer support for my Verizon FioS today I said enough, and I purchased the Netgear xr500. I also have the NordVPN (OpenVPN) set up correctly on it. My plan is to only have on the devices all traffic except for my Livestream software, and my Xbox itself go through my VPN. However, the Add Service to the "Do not apply VPN" feature is very vague and I can find absolutely zero information on Netgears site on how to even reach a Live Chat Rep. I am hoping that on here I am able to figure out the information I need. In the future for an other Exceptions, I would very much like to be able to just add them. It needs the Source and Destination Ports per application.

Thanks for the feedback. First of all, there’s a  complete guide to setting up Hybrid VPN here: http://support.netduma.com/support/solutions/articles/16000087492--dumaos-optimal-settings-guide-hybrid-vpn
Secondly, we are adding improved detection of streaming in the next firmware which will help with this.

muffintastic reacted to Netduma Fraser in Hybrid VPN - Filter Plex Traffic
That could be possible to add it yes. Meanwhile I would suggest looking up the ports that plex uses and then add that as a manual service for it not to VPN.

    Hello.
First off I am not having ANY issues with the hybrid VPN.
I am running NordVPN which connects fine then I'm running my smart TV through the VPN, but I don't want my Plex traffic to be filtered through the VPN which incures buffering when streaming.
Would it be possible for the devs to add in the "Don't VPN Services" a Plex option, so any Plex traffic is filtered to my ISP and avoids the VPN. 😀

IDNet has had IPv6 for years. BT now use IPv6 plus quite a few other ISPs so I guess you are a little behind the times? Why would users go back to IPv4 when It’s now not used as much because the address pool ran out. Also it’s not a feature request but a basic router function in 2019, the R7800 used  FQ_CODEL for both IPv4 and IPv6 at launch in 2015 and the XR500 is built off that routers hardware

Reserved IPv4 address blocks in IANA (Internet Assigned Numbers Authority) ran out on February 3, 2011. And the free pool of IPv4 addresses held by APNIC which is RIR in the Asia Pacific region ran out on April 15, 2011”
