Yah see how things go. It never hurts to give charter a call if need be and have them check your line. That is something I always do. They know me by my first name now if that tells you anything.   Not sure what kind of techs you have in your area but if you get a tech that has the newer testing equipment to test your line you will be golden!

I have this same problem and have had this issue since milestone1.3 Doing a factory reset is the only thing that works to get it under control. But the sad part is that it only lasts for awhile and you will likely get the issue to resurface. Im hoping the next new major update will fix this issue.  Maybe you will be lucky and the factory reset using a paper clip to the back of the router will work for you. Good luck!

Its an odd issue you have. Id check everything on your end. The thing is your not that far from Chicago. And other servers in that area I usually ping around 28-30 ms. I would think you should be pinging servers there at around the same ms since we are in the same state. Even though close doesn't always mean good pings I would think you shouldn't be that high.. See if things settle down for you in awhile.. Maybe it was just a bad day.. Good luck!

Yes Jack's in charge of that. We've had a massive response so it's taking a while to get to everybody!
Thanks, i'm glad you're enjoying it! We've decided that instead of calling it 1.4, we're going to call it DumaOS 3.0! It's all explained in this post:

Yes that's right but we do have some say in this as well as we know the software and our users so well. If there was a beta for the R1 we'd of course control this entirely.

The big announcement will be public. There will be smaller announcements and "concepts" that are shared with insiders. We won't share anything with the public which we might change later, but for the insiders program we're going to be more open and talk about ideas that may or may not come to fruition.
The idea with insiders is to gauge interest in things, and figure out if people would actually use the features we're designing in the way that we think they will. It might be that we're working on something that we think is awesome, but nobody would actually use. Hope that makes sense!

It just depends on their respective contractional obligations to netgear. Honestly I think one is in the works but may take a couple years to develop cause they have to devote time to XR series routers. Duma OS is pretty but in terms of working great with bo4 not so much.

Marlins firmware is very good ASUS and so is Voxel for Netgear ,;I’ve owned both the Rog spiders ,also Netgear routers ; to be honest I’ve just had enough of waiting and see a lot of swerving going on.I see issues like killihippie gets but never really post about it ,just got annoyed last night with it.should have kept my Rog AX rapture ...bit scary spider though 😂

No, There are a few of us on here that would like to see a Duma only router and not a XR series Netgear/Netduma router. Basically we would like to see a new R2 so to speak. Nothing has been reported or anything like that. Its just there are a few of us that would love to see something like this in the future. Id be blown away if they actually had something in the works already. But I highly doubt that because there focus has been on the new milestone.. I just think it would be a very smart move for them when they have the time and effort to do such a thing.. Its just a wish atm.. Nothing reported.

so i've tested the setup out for the last couple of days...looks like everything is working great! forwarding 3544 to 3074 seems to have solved my input lag issues. you guys have been a lot more helpful than both microsoft and ea regarding this issue. i greatly appreciate the help! i just have to come to terms with losing because i suck instead of lag now lmao... thanks again, boys!!

Yes unfortunately restoring your settings can also restore whatever was causing the problem. A better backup system is on the roadmap.

Honestly there should not be any Netgear support here. It should be all over on the Netgear forum so Netgear also can see what is going on. One should not have to cross post on both forums though. And Netduma does have a support section here which is very misleading.. sharpz will be better off with ASUS out of the box.. No switches needed for there routers to make it work.

That's the only way I will ever purchase another router from Netduma. It has to be Netduma only!!! And not a Netduma/Netgear router.

With a need for IPv6 and WPA3 being the new standard in town soon (unless that's not a priority for Netgear on older kit as it can be updated), also Wi-Fi 6 is replacing Wi-Fi 5 quite fast and I will be looking at hardware that keeps up with new clients and my networking needs. I love the GUI of DumaOS but not the failed promises and the never ending bugs that Netgear and Netduma don't get fixed, I'm guessing more Netgear than you guys, but still Ive seen to many promises  just fade away on these forums. Also this XR hardware is getting old. SoC's and Wi-Fi chipsets from 2016 are hardly cutting edge any more. Basically buying a R9000 or the gaming equivalent, the XR700 means people are buying 3 year old hardware, the XR500's CPU hits 4 years old in January 2020 as that's when the IPQ8065 landed on the shelves in home routers like Netgears R7800, which the XR500 basically is just in a new body shell and a bit more flash NAND that seems to not even be used.
