AzeRuS94 reacted to Netduma Admin in Apex Legends is now Geo-Filter Compatible!
New Cloud update is out with more accurate server location for Apex. Please click Flush Cloud to install this new database. Reminder on how to do this:
Go to the Geo-Filter In the Geo-Filter Map options, click Flush Cloud - wait about 45 seconds for this to complete. If you own a Netduma R1, a message will probably appear that says "The operation is taking longer than expected. Please briefly wait before using this R-App." Don't worry if you see this, just click OK and wait a further 15 seconds. The new Cloud will have installed in the background Before you boot up the game, we recommend you set your Geo-Filter range around your favourite server region for Apex. If you want to be stricter, you can just put the range around one server, but this will result in more games being blocked.
Then boot up the game - the Geo-Filter will both encourage the game to give you a server within your range and if the game gives you one outside of it, the server will be blocked.
One final point - in testing we sometimes would not be able to join the pre-game lobby after completing a game. If this happens to you, please restart the game.
Please let us know how you get on with this latest upgrade.

That definitely sounds like a false reading then, what's the current setup you're using for that NAT status?

I meant whether you were using DMZ, UPnP etc.
NAT is not really checked on PC like it is on consoles so it's up to the game whether it shows you this information. If you have trouble connecting to people when playing (and Geo-Filter is disabled or friends have been allowed) then make sure UPnP is used or you've port forwarded for the game. I would do advise DMZ for PCs at all.

I don't see how it couldn't be open when using DMZ so definitely a false reading.
It's really up to you, the XR500 has the more powerful hardware but they do both have good wifi and will handle your connection.

Have you reset the router since the technician changed things? I reckon you should run a hard reset:
Turn off any connected devices, then turn off the modem and Netduma. Wait 5 minutes then turn on the modem. Wait 2 minutes then turn on the Netduma. Finally wait 2 minutes and reconnect your devices.
After that step, factory reset the Netduma. Then do the DMZ and enable UPnP, ensuring it's turned off on the Modem. Is your in-game NAT still moderate?
If it is but it's open on the console, I'd say it's a false reading and nothing to worry about.

I'm responding to RehivaE, your post didn't say anything. If you're having the same issue please make a new topic and we can help you there.

Fantastic to hear that! Yes the R1 can handle that. You're right on the cusp of having to disable all QoS to achieve it though. I assume you would like to keep the QoS features so make sure you enter your new bandwidth into the router and see if you get full speeds without enabling Anti-Bufferbloat. If you do then great! If not see how much less you get and see if you think it's worth it or not to disable QoS completely to get your full bandwidth.

Turn off UPnP and Port Forwarding on the huawei, if that doesn't work then the DMZ details you entered must be incorrect or the details have changed so double check that, have you rebooted the modem/router since enabling it?

The TP Link needs to be connected to the powerline via the WAN port. Devices only appear online if data is flowing through it, if you do something on the device it should go to online. Yes normal to be able to access R1 interface through TP link.

You would plug it into the WAN of the TP Link, heres a link for how to do AP mode https://www.tp-link.com/us/faq-417.html let us know how you get on

Are you not able to move the console/router momentarily just to check if that's the cause? Perhaps when not many people are using the internet?
Could you provide screenshots of all your settings pages as well please?

Yes leave UPnP enabled and remove any port forwarding you have done and disable Geo-Filter. If that's not fixed it then plug the R1 directly into the ISP router and try again, it could be the powerline adapter causing issues.

Okay great, check the underside of the router to make sure the MAC addresses are the same then reboot the router and retry the NAT test

You put in the WAN IP from System Information on the R1?
Can you provide a screenshot for the page please? It is probably IP or MAC address you can do it by so if you did both it might have gotten confused.

Try to access the ISP router with:
    Admin - telecomadmin
    Password - admintelecom
If that gets you access can you set DMZ or modem mode then?

Just to double check, if you disable the Geo-Filter does your NAT status stay the same?

Go to the Device Manager and make a note of the IP addresses for those devices. Next go to Settings on the LAN panel. Under DHCP you can see your devices listed, tick the devices and then enter the IP addresses you noted before and then apply. Let us know how you get on after that.

It sounds like a great setup - you can connect your devices to either the Netduma or the extender depending on how strong the signal is. Then I'd just use QoS to prioritise your gaming devices.

Hi - unfortunately you're probably at the limit of the hardware there on three floors. You could try changing the wireless channel in case the one you are currently using is especially congested.
But realistically, you have a couple of sensible options:
Cheap option - invest in a wireless extender: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_1_11?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=wireless+extender&sprefix=wireless+ex%2Caps%2C204&crid=2OB6KPA3L5CSH
Expensive option - upgrade to a more powerful router: https://www.netgear.com/npg/

They operate the same software but the Netgear hardware is a lot better. The WiFi itself is what most people would upgrade for as it has AC. The CPU/RAM is higher as well.

Hmm, that's weird. With a powerline adapter (just so you're clear on this) it's basically the same thing as connecting with an Ethernet cable. The adapter might as well not exist, it's just passing all the traffic directly to connected devices. If you aren't getting your full speeds through it, try connecting the wire from your router to the adapter into a PC instead, then run a speed test. Are you getting your full speeds through that PC?

If you are, and you're using the same wire through the same router port, then you're getting your full speeds through the router itself. It'll be the adapter, secondary wire or connected device to blame at that stage

Okay well sounds like you found the cause which isn't the router. You want to connect the powerlines together? I've never tried it so I don't know if it would work exactly. In theory if could work so give it a go
