Could you follow these steps please?
Delete the device from the Geo-Filter Look at the IP on the console network settings and match this with the device in Device Manager - make sure you know what the correct device is Hard turn off the console Flush the Geo-Filter cloud Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter Wait 2 minutes Turn on the console and the game See if it works better then please.

It might be they're using only one server for EU - Germany is relatively central. I can't find anything online about where the servers are located. If I find out I will let you know.

Fantastic to hear that! We haven't tested the game given it requires watching Twitch to get a beta key so we don't know how it interacts with the Geo-Filter at the moment. Does it appear to work?

Is there any sort of pattern as to when it happens? If you look in Settings > Monitoring > Connection Status, what does DHCP lease obtained/expires say?

Ok, but I still can't play any game on creative mode with my friends because of the 2% packet loss on download and a red line appearing on the ping graphic of fortnite and is very frustrating.

The problem was the xr500 software version, when they released the .56 everything was solved.

Could you provide a screenshot of the server you're connecting to that is showing this ping as well as let me know what the ID is and I can look into it.

Is the iPhone on the latest iOS update? Go to Settings on your iPhone > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings and then see if it works when you reconnect to the WiFi.

If you setup a guest WiFi network and connect devices to that do they still disconnect?

Have you changed any settings in Advanced WiFi Settings? Are you using Smart Connect for WiFi?

By the way you can achieve 10/100/1000 speeds on a Cat 5 cable but it has to be Cat5e.

Just look on the cable and you should be able to read the cable type. If not try to pick up a Cat 6 cable if you want to be sure.

    Why not just try both?

I have 500/500 connection as well and I can easily achieve that on my devices in the same room, 300ish on the other end of the house.

I have used the XR500 wifi for gaming as well, cable is preferred but it worked fine for me on wifi with PS4.

If you plan to get another cable tomorrow or something, just use wifi for a day. Otherwise just install the CAT5 cable. You can easily swap to wifi from the menu.

You've got some good advice here. I would always recommend using ethernet cables for gaming so either use the one you have or upgrade it to cat 6 so you can get your full speeds as well for when you download games/updates. Otherwise if you don't want to get a new cable then you could use 5GHz for downloading and it'll likely be faster.

For your console, the quality of the connection is usually way more important than the bandwidth. Many games don't really use much bandwidth. I would recommend using the cat 5 cable.

Well, your ISP isn't being very helpful here are they. I don't know if it's going to be possible for us to get a totally open NAT here.

I don't know why that would be, there must be some specific settings that it requires that you're not aware of. See if they are able to explain it while they're fixing it and then that will help us help you. Depends on the technician but see if they'll sort out the NAT issue for you with the router connected also.

In that case there should be no reason at all that you can't plug a device directly into the modem and receive a connection. Nothing about your setup should be this difficult to get up and running optimally so it may be best to factory reset both the ISP hub and the router itself and start from scratch. There is a sticker on the router itself but I'm sure if you access the interface it doesn't give you that kind of warning so perhaps do it from the interface instead.

Hmm is there a settings backup option on the ISP router? If the sticker says not to do it, i'd be pretty nervous about doing it to be honest.

I wouldn't do a factory reset because there is a big sticker telling to not touch the factory reset button at the back of the router.😅

You should do factory reset on your ISP router, sometime when I used PPPoE to pass through my ISP router and I want come back straight to it, I must do factory reset and start by 0...
After that, just connect your Xbox and configure your network.  Put your Xbox in DMZ to your ISP router,  that should work.  The Dumaos is very difficult to understand, I have many wifi issue with, DNS probleme etc....

    Good luck

If you remove the port forwards then and just using UPnP and completely turn off the other consoles - don't have them in rest mode - and reboot the Xbox after you've done this does the Xbox get an open NAT then.

If it's not forwarding the ports to your router then DMZ clearly isn't working correctly. Is your Router's WAN IP address set at static/reserved? It could be that it's forwarding the ports to the wrong address because the XR500's address changes.
