Your ping is fine so your connection is not the issue. May be the server so as above increase your radius or try to force another and see how it plays. FIFA seems to be plagued with this issue regardless of ping. Port forwarding all the ports it asks for may help.

Would just reiterate what others have said here. Bufferbloat is dealt with with congestion control when there is actually enough traffic that could cause congestion

Ping Plotter to twitter.com is a far more accurate way to test.

Ping Plotter IMO gives you the best and most accurate results. I test on DSLReports and it gives me different ping results, in my case 20ms to 60ms difference in my ping time, whilst PP is only from 10ms to 15ms. Plus I ping Twitter for the most accurate and consistent test.

I only use DSLReports to check my speeds.

I have 10 devices connected over wifi and 6 wired. iPhones, tablets, iPads, MacBooks and laptops etc.
My local wifi channels are quite well populated but I don't think quite as congested as yours.
The only solution seems to be what you have already done and utilise a 2nd router for an access point for wifi.
As you mentioned apple products I do recall having a few issues when I first got my MacBook Pro with it dropping the signal over wifi but resolved this by changing the channel.

If the Geo-filter is disabled and you still get the issue then it's not the Duma.

Regarding the ID you provided that's a Microsoft Server so I think its a dedicated server. Did it show up as a padlock?

I have BT Infinity and have no issues with dropping the wifi, Open reach modem Netduma, thats it. If you could elaborate a little on what you have tried already maybe somebody could suggest some things for you to try such as a different wifi channel etc.

Xbox party chat issues is one of my pet hates.

This could be related to your specific setup of course but for years before I had a Netduma there have been chat issues.

I think it reached a peak with BO3, who could hear who would change between lobbies and even during games sometimes, it was really bizarre.
It wasn't even that one person had a problem and was basically muted (which would indicate them having a NAT issue), it seemed to be completely random.
    You could have it all working perfectly in the pre-game lobby and then in the actual match it would change;
Player 1 hearing 2/3/4, player 2 hearing 1/4, player 3 hearing 1/2 and player 4 hearing nobody while people could hear them shouting "where's everybody gone".

My suggestion was going to be the Geo Filter, I'm sure mine has been blocking a chat server before, but I think I can ruin that theory now anyway...
I play a lot of Battlefield now, most of us have a Netduma, and every so often you see the message that someone has left the party and then they rejoin within about 30 seconds. But we all play BF with the Geo Filter completely disabled (because of the server setup) and as far as I know we all have an open NAT too.

I'm running the latest 'standard' Xbox operating system (I'm not in their testing programme) and other than the random and brief dropouts and rejoins, I haven't had a major problem with chat for quite a while that I can remember, at least not since the latest update to the dash.

*There were a lot of party problems in IW though, especially if someone dashboarded the game. Often everyone would have to go all the way back to the first screen to get the game party (not chat party) back together in a lobby. Sometimes everyone had to dashboard the game and reload.

None of which helps you get any nearer a solution though, sorry.

There’s been a few updates since the party problems started. I’m with you, I think it’s something Microsoft have done. I’ll let you know how the line fix goes.

I appreciate that its frustrating but being rude probably isn't the best way to seek help. When you first posted it was 2.49am UK time. If I remember correctly Netduma's official working hours are 10am - 6pm UK time.

If you could read this post first and then post accordingly, someone will be able to help you with your issue.

What’s your ping to the game?

To check your ping, make sure you have selected the largest circle on the Geo-Filter and then click the “Ping” button or tick Auto ping.

You could also run an internet diagnostics test, more info on that here:

If you mean the box telling you that you are connected to another router than this is perfectly normal. It’s difficult to offer help without knowing your exact setup.

Have you put the Netduma into DMZ of your other router?

Could you post how you have things set up?

UPnP is essentially automatic port forwarding, so you shouldn’t need to manually port forward. Just ensure that you don’t have any port forwarding rules set when using UPnP. Also make sure that your geo-filter is disabled while you boot up your console/game as this can cause your NAT to show incorrectly. Enable your geo-filter just before you search for a game.

    Cheers

pollutionblues reacted to ColonicBoom in CoD WW2 what did you think?
I'm undecided on the WW2 setting, it's difficult for me to judge while I was getting so annoyed at other aspects.
Glad you're trying SMGs (finally!) but I wanted SMGs to be map/situation specific, these maps made them 'all purpose'.
That was great, don't think I was put into a single 'in-progress' game.
Servers/Connection/Lobbies/Joining/Parties was exceptional, no comparison to IW beta which was a total cluster-fudge.
I saw a couple of skippers too but nothing major, surprisingly smooth.

I found the call-outs irritating most of the time, I don't think we should be given these callouts at all. In my opinion, to get a call out you should be playing with team mates that communicate, rather than have the game decide to give you 'handouts'. 100% they have done this for the "why should I have to buy headphones/surround sound?" and the "you're such a sound-whore" crowd. I'm guessing the 'footstep decider' at Sledgehammer is a total pussy that has bad hearing so they kill it for us too.
If they're going to cheapen the sound like that then they should do away with HD and add ghosting to help everyone with an old TV/monitor too.

Yep, I though the graphics were underwhelming and a bit mushy.
And the DoF / scale / distance (something) is totally off, 10 steps and 3 seconds would see you cover 50+ metres.

Can you elaborate? What specifically meant that you didn't enjoy it?

    Same as above.

Yeh, you had 40 kills in a game where I had 20
It's a strange decision to do this with footsteps, so many more people seem to complain about a lack of footsteps so I don't understand why they do it. And literally nobody wants to get shot in the back.
    Sprint out time was painful.
Flinch doesn't usually bother me (except when it creates a headshot that it shouldn't have - BO3) but in this the flinch was extreme. Far too much.

Totally, I think suppressors only on SMGs is going to annoy a lot of people. It's such a staple of CoD that it's a very strange decision, when "going back to CoD roots", to change this. To me 'roots' meant like CoD4 / MW2, not before. Maybe this is more like it was before those games, I don't remember.

Aiming didn't feel right to me for a while either, like there was wonky acceleration added to the rotation speed at 'full-stick', and like the ADS sensitivity and hipfire sensitivity weren't in-sync. Strafing is the way to go - it usually is in FPS anyway.

I liked that we get a pistol and a grenade but I would rather have got to pick 3 or 4 perks and not have all this divisional stuff. I think that any CoD without 'Pick10' will always feel weird now we're used to it.

Same on the graphics, I was (unrealistically) expecting to be wowed by some gritty immersive beautiful graphics.
I suppose I was wowed by the graphics and the sound actually but in the opposite way to what I would have wanted.

pollutionblues got a reaction from bagsta69 in CoD WW2 what did you think?
    Things I did like:

The slightly longer TTK - as Boom said it sometimes gives you a chance to get into cover.
Boots on the ground - I’ve never been that great with the jet packs so this suites my play style better.
    The WWII setting

    Things I didn’t like:

Suppressors only on SMG’s - I really don’t get this as a design choice, it’s fair enough having options for specific divisions but I think suppressor should be an attachment that everyone can access regardless of division choice.

The Aiming system - for me the aim was totally messed up, if you weren’t bang on target it felt like you couldn’t make any kind of adjustment while ADS, i turned off aim assist slowdown but it only helped marginally. This was my biggest issue as I just couldn’t find a way to combat it and it led to a lot of deaths and really spoiled my enjoyment of the beta to be honest. I had no such problems back on IW last night.

The lack of class customisation - I sort of see what SH we’re trying to do but I’d prefer to have the option to drop the pistol in favour of an extra attachment or basic training.

    I expected better graphics.
