I’ll give this a test as I’ve always had the gaming router in, on occasion when I have gone back to the hub only the issue isn’t there, but i will test it later on today

The Geo-Filter will show active connections regardless, the cloud database just determines whether those connections are: Located correctly Whitelisted Classed as Peer or Dedicated So even if it was hugely outdated you can definitely still use Ping Assist to get the lowest ping servers.

    Internet Cutting Out

It does feel warm on the bottom but not a concerning temp. I will continue to monitor that. I've got one laptop on 5g and one on 2.4 with the chrome extension Internet Connection Monitor to see any differences.

    Internet Cutting Out

Keep us posted on that, also another user found there seems to be a correlation with how hot the router gets and disconnections, not sure where you're located but it's getting very hot in the UK now. Try to ensure it's not on a surface where it could overheat and make sure it has plenty of air flow. If you get a disconnection see how hot it is

OK, and you had IGMP proxying enabled on the previous firmware too? What speeds are you reaching on the new firmware?

Are ALL devices connected to the XR? Are you able to put the gateway in modem/bridge mode?

    gaming router

I'm using HG to xr 500 at mo. I left the the 5 and 2.4 wireless on same name, is it better to split the with different names and turn off smart connect and pick you own wireless channel, Not sure what's best way as I'm finding wireless range poor and my phone 4g signal taking over. The ppoe stuff in xr was easy to do and change the DNS servers. Ping under load showing no improvements with HG to xr over my tp to xr.

    My Wifi Speeds Are Slow

Yes I bought a brand new Cat6 Kabel . I disabled QoS just to try. I changed the WiFi ports and GHz. Wired connection is fine . Only WiFi is the problem . Spent a lot to get the Netduma to Norway . And for months it’s problem with the WiFi . I bought it right away after release. Always had Problem with the WiFi :/

You should be able to get that minimal level of bufferbloat if you really dial in your settings. Don't use Benchmark for that as we're still improving it. If you saturate your connection with downloads etc and experiment with percentages to see what lowers it the most you should be able to get it http://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000074717-how-to-test-your-internet-ping

Hello @Etherealize to explain how IP Address works we just keep it simple with your IP's (XR-R2-R1) Router [Interface WAN] <---192.168.0.x /24 or 255.255.255.0--> Modem [Interface LAN 1] Router WAN IP should be 192.168.0.2 and the Modem LAN IP is 192.168.0.1 depends on DHCP Settings from the Modem. The CIDR is 24 and refers on the bit's used for the subnet in that case 24 times a 1 or four times 8bit in Binary - Decimal 255 = 11111111 - So the Subnet is like 11111111.11111111.11111111.00000000 - This means that the first three octets are not allowed to change on the IP Address - 192.168.0.x - The only octet to allowed to change is the fourth one from 00000000 to 11111111 in Dec 0 to 255 and since we use a IPv4 Protocol we are not allowed to use the first and the last Address in that range. Example: 192.168.0.0 (Network Address) and 192.168.0.255 (Broadcast Address) - The ones we are allowed to use is 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.254 That is were proper configuration can be of a advantage for IT-Security and Usability - Keep your ranges small - Example for the Router to Modem Network this is more then enough -> 192.168.0.2 for the XR and 192.168.0.1 for the Modem with the Subnet CIDR /30 - DEC 255.255.255.252 - Binary 11111111.11111111.11111111.111111 00 Since we look at this in the Binary view it will look like: 11111111.11111111.11111111.111111 00 = 192.168.0.0 (Network Address) 11111111.11111111.11111111.111111 01 = 192.168.0.1 - Modem LAN IP 11111111.11111111.11111111.111111 10 = 192.168.0.2 - XR WAN IP 11111111.11111111.11111111.111111 11 = 192.168.0.3 (Broadcast Address) 255 .255 .255 .252 - Subnet Mask You can setup this Static for both Interfaces XR WAN and Modem LAN - To get rid of Re-Addressing the WAN interface when the Lease is over from the DHCP Server from the Modem - because that has to go thru a procedure every time we love to call DORA -> Discover - Offer - Request - Acknowledge - With Static IP's there is no need for the device to process all this. XR Example WAN IP Settings: IP Address: 192.168.0.2 Subnet: 255.255.255.252 Gateway: 192.168.0.1 DNS1: 1.1.1.1 Cloudflare DNS2: 1.0.0.1 Cloudflare Modem LAN IP Setup: DHCP = Off LAN IP also Device IP = 192.168.0.1 Subnet = 255.255.255.252 On the XR LAN Side you are totally fine and can keep it as is. ^^ If there are any question do not hesitate to ask. Best regards Val.

    Bufferbloat Test

Dont use xr500, im using a linksys 3200acm with openwrt with sqm cake. I dont use the isp router i call to vodafone and they install me a ont and now i connect the openwrt to the ont and i have to set vlans .

It won't let you set the LAN address to the same subnet as the WAN because you'll end up with duplicate DHCP servers etc and it will just break.

    My Wifi Speeds Are Slow

Yeah I’m at the point I would just like to refund it WiFi speeds are super slow or will barely even connect at a range that isn’t even that far and as far as gaming I don’t even feel like I’m getting consistent hit markers at this point, I just switched back to my isp router I’m done messing with this trash.

COVID-19 and what it means for Netduma

It's hard to believe what you say now because you keep saying that you're working on the new update for ages now and have yet to release it. You just keep giving us empty promises constantly. I hope you all stay safe regardless.
