So since everyone is venting and pissed off thought I would add my 2 cents. As a community (duma, all of us). I would like to say I have enjoyed all of the very intelligent folks that help me with my issues. I've learned a lot. As far as Netduma goes. They are a small company that I feel is really honest and to be honest they are gamers too. Thats why they invented this software. To make gaming better. For me it has changed the game. I was one of the first ppl to get one. Thanks to SimJC. I really understand that everyone is super pissed because to be honest I was super stoked for this update. To be delayed because of legal bs is super lame. But in todays world I guess you have to really watch your back more than your front. So I guess good things come to those who wait. So that's what I will do! Netduma has giving me no reason to bash them. It will all be okay fellas!!! Peace and hair grease! That is all
no i havent been changing frequently. Like i said in my previous posts i dont get many servers come up so i dont know where to fix my radius. tried all different bufferbloat settings and theres no consistency.. good for a couple of games then rubbish
When you turn your game on have your laptop nearby with geo in front of you. When your game is booted up look at the locks on the screen. You can ping the locks. Those are the servers that are in the game. See which one looks good. For me I have my home set to Oklahoma and I live in Minnesota, about a 1,000 miles away. For whatever reason I get decent gameplay. Make sure STRICT IS ON when you find where you want to play. Turn your game off and wait about 2 mins. Turn it back on and there you go. You should be go to go. I am one of the very first ppl to own an R1 and by no means a techy person. I read through threads all of time to see what works for everyone else if I am having trouble. Believe me this router was the best thing that ever happened to me for gaming (besides my gaming monitor) but thats besides the point. Keep tinkering you will find your sweet spot. Also, WW2 is a weird game as far as connection goes. You could have the worlds best ping and connection and if your not playing on the right server you will be frustrated. There is a happy medium you just have to find it! We are all here to help. So any questions ask away man. Good luck!
fraser, i move geo filter around and i either sit there for ages with no game or nothing appears in circle and what i see is symbols on outside of circle
Try different servers for sure. It seems like the magic number is around 40ms. When the game first turns on look at your geo and click on various different servers and ping them. If something looks good move your home location to that respective area. Also, whenever you have a chance read threads on here on other ppl problems and issues or ideas. It will make you a little more knowable. I like you when I got duma knew absolutely nothing. Good luck!
hey guys so im thinkin about buying this modem. Would it be a better compatible modem for the R1 instead of using my Default modem from Xfinity? i heard something about these modems giving Lagg Spikes from Xfinity so i wanna buy this one and just wanna make sure its better for it
im buying the Docsis 3.0 Model TC-7610
I bought this modem per modbox suggestions when I asked him. Couldn't be more pleased! Plus it is really cheap too
Yes get the tp tc7610. I have charter and live in MN. Modbox recommended it to me. My connection is much more stable now. But if your looking to have better games in ww2. Good luck. That game is just inconsistent. I think I'm going to switch to one of the older titles.
This is kinda a long shot but I’m hoping there’s a way I can get a replacement netduma r1 router since I bought it less than 2 years ago, it’s already crapped out on me and they are not that cheap to begin with.
Problems started happening this Saturday, February 10th. I usually play call of duty ww2 just fine but on that day I played for less than half an hour before I got disconnected and then got a “DNS error” when I tried to reconnect. Both Ethernet and WiFi went down so no internet for the home and family. I tried ALL the troubleshooting steps. Tried resetting the router and modem at the same time (turn on and off as well as reset from within the router settings.) Tried resetting the modem first followed by the router and vice versa. As a last resort, I tried wiping my r1 to factory default settings, renaming it and changing the password. Still died within 30 minutes.
Then we brought out a replacement router (different brand) and internet is now up 24/7. Furthermore, called my internet provider (Spectrum) and they confirmed service was online for everybody else. So if this doesn’t prove we isolated the r1 router as the issue, I don’t know what else will!
The problem? I purchased it new from amazon on 8/28/2016.....can I get a free replacement under some type of warranty or quality guarantee? If not, unfortunately, I’ll probably need to just throw it in the trash since it’s clearly broken.
I have spectrum and had this same problem. Dude its your modem. When they came out and gave me a new modem I didn't have the problem anymore. Better yet go buy your own. I just bought one 2 days ago tp-link tc 7610. It is night and day difference in cod for me. Stablized my connection!
Dude solid! Almost a V2 with a shotgun, wow! Hopefully Duma OS is as good as netgears version. If not I will buy that one for sure. My buddy bought one when I told him about it. He outplays me know, lol!
