  1. Was thinking the TP Link AC3200 or maybe th TP Link C3150V2. Netgear 1900 looks sweet also
  2. Thanks for the post. was looking at the TP Link router for my additional router, not quite sure what one yet to choose though and also their powerline adapters. Any thoughts on the TP link router? Doing some more research on what model would be best yet for our home.
  3. Thanks, any suggestions for a WiFi router then. Brand would be great. Seems like I have the same thought as far as setup as posted. Thinking of maybe powerline adapters for some of the rooms in the house also, thoughts? Also, suggestions for brand of switch? Thanks for any and all replies.
  4. Hello all, Just wanted to post a few questions and maybe some thoughts on a new Fiber service finally coming into my area for residential customers. This is a very local mom and pop company that got the job to update the 911 service in my area, they have been around for several years and a while back opened up to start taking residential customers. I have done a lot of thinking and believe using their service will be a great addition to our home. Currently have Comcast cable and internet with very subpar performance. We pay for 150/10-their blast service as they call it. Questions: (1) So with the above statement of our current 150/10 plan In your opinion what plan from the Fiber company should we choose? (NOTE: We will be switching to a totally streaming household, using Netflix,Sling Tv,PS Vue, or something similar for the TV part of our entertainment)(We use multiple devices in our home with 4 Iphones , 3-4 Ipads, 3 PS 4's and an Xbox One as well as a laptop from time to time) They sell the following plans for Residential customers: 25/10 50/15 100/25 *With this said, I was thinking the 100/25 200/50 or the 200/50 plan should suit us. 500/75 Thoughts? 1000/100 (2) The Fiber company installs into our home the Fiber to a connection box outside the home. Assume that I should just connect to our NetDuma R1 and run our set up as I have been doing since we got our Duma. * Just making sure I shouldn't or wouldn't need to add another router to my setup. (3) Should I then just reconfigure the input speeds of the new Internet service provider in my NetDuma? (Assume everything I have saved will still stay the same in the NetDuma) (Finally have things sorted pretty well as of now and don't want to start again as it was painful getting this far-Fingers crossed) Any thoughts are very much appreciated! Just want to sort the change over in my mind and wanted other opinions or concerns before we switch. looking for the switch to me made within the next few weeks.
  5. This seems to be a fix so far so good. Thanks so much says open on PS4 IW Game. So think I resolved this with this idea. Thanks again. Not sure if that loading issue went hand and hand with this but navigation seems to be as fast as it was before. I'll post if problem comes back. Thanks again for your help.
  6. Finally got tired of playing on Moderate connection on PS4. So last evening tried playing around with getting a Open connection with manual port forwarding. So I looked first on the UPnP screen saw the box was unticked, so I hit apply to assure this was turned off. The status circle kept loading and never did stop. Checked on misc settings also and unticked Enable UPnP. At this point rebooted router. Then worked on plotting in the ports to forward. Did 3074 UDP, 9307-9308 USP, and 3075-3076 TCP and UDP. Rebooted the router, started the PS4, logged into IW went into matchmaking and found a Open connection so thought I had it good again. Then opened Host filtering and it was taking forever to load, started trying the other setting tabs and everyone is the same super slow. Also on a side note my wifi on the computer and also my phone started randomly disconnecting had to reconnect several times. Kids started complaining about slow connection, so at this point stoped the port forward and now currently back at what I was useing prior to this. Not sure what to try next. Had the Open but can't have the rest slow or dropping. Not sure if it has something to do with the UPnP in my interface refreshing or like it's locked and won't switch out. IDK. Just trying to come up with a fix.
