#169200 Major Announcement: Netduma partner with NETGEAR to launch the Nighthawk XR50...

Posted by Sgt-Greco on 09 January 2018 - 03:23 PM

I wish Netduma crew the best of luck with their new partner.

Just a couple of thoughts.

I find it rather unlikely to purchase, not because of the high price, but because I feel "betrayed"..... It just doesn't feel right.

I'm not aware of the terms or the agreement of this partnership, but I think Netuma devs should insist on top priority for early buyers. After all, these guys supported the new product, helped the community, uploaded tons of videos with tutorials, settings, reviews etc.

One more thing to all the "it will be ready when it's ready" dudes. Maybe now you've learned your lesson why it is so important to keep your mouth shut every now and then.

#168400 Gigabit Fiber Settings - The struggle is real

Posted by Sgt-Greco on 02 January 2018 - 08:25 AM

how do you force p2p?

- Circumscribe the largest possible area near you, where no dedicated server exists.

- Zero your PA value

- Make sure Strict Mode is on

- Make sure PSN friends outside the above area are in your allow list, so they can join your sessions and avoid chat NAT type issues.

The closest server in my case (I live in Athens) is the Milan server, so I try to circumscribe an area where boundaries reach the outskirts of Milan.

Once again let me say that the ability to force p2p IS A HUGE BENEFIT in areas where there are no dedicated servers around.

Netduma crew must point that out even more.

Sorry for my poor English

Hope that helps.

Happy New Year.
Killcams are screenshots stiched together, thus very far from being accurate.
Netduma works perfect for me but I still believe that the game will put you in the best dedi possible when your service is disabled. So I use it only when I want to force p2p.

Absolutely fantastic job from mr.Sim :) Definitely a sticky and a must watch.

I've also created a spreadsheet in both .xlsx and .ods formats, so you can input your test results as Sim suggests in his video.

You can download .ods format here

#167816 Edgerouter x > netduma moderate nat help

Posted by Sgt-Greco on 24 December 2017 - 11:56 PM

Sounds like double NAT.
Check your WAN IP in both separately. If you see a local IP (for example 192.168.x.x) in one of them, then you have two devices performing NAT.

#165266 Advice on gaming routers please adsl

Posted by Sgt-Greco on 28 November 2017 - 03:04 PM

I purchased GL.iNet GL-AR150  just for gaming and testing.

16Mb flash, 64Mb RAM, 400MHz CPU, but what I like the most is that it's fully supported by at least 4 different open source Firmwares.

£ 22.8 from amazon

This is going to be an interesting weekend B)

#164704 CoD WW2 Opinions

My opinion for WWII is that all these years of wall running and boost jumping have screwed us for good.

#164701 The biggest issue with WW2!! (besides connection)

Use smoke grenades to safely cross their line of sight and flank.
Problem solved.

#164433 WW2 Dedicated Servers Suck!

Posted by Sgt-Greco on 19 November 2017 - 06:50 PM

If only there was a loophole in netcode to allow p2p, duma sales would skyrocket.
I'm afraid there isn't.

#163927 Annoying WW2 kill spawn

Sorry for the offtopic. Are there really any other benefits acquiring an epic gun other than being epic?

#163923 Playing on ww2 dedicated server is like pulling teeth / help?

Posted by Sgt-Greco on 14 November 2017 - 04:52 PM

I don't want to disappoint you but I think trying to force p2p while dedicated servers around you are fully functional is almost impossible. Everyone near you is automatically connected to a dedi leaving you alone searching for strict p2p matches. I've been in this situation numerous times.

#163502 seriously what is going on?

Posted by Sgt-Greco on 10 November 2017 - 08:55 PM

Just forget servers for the time being.Attached File  _20171110_225240.JPG   141.38KB   0 downloads

#158065 A7Legit Passed Away :(

Posted by Sgt-Greco on 27 August 2017 - 02:13 PM

Heart attack is very rare for a 38 years old. Aneurysm is making more sense.
Heart attack is a symptom of extremely poor eating habits and lack of exercise. I find it hard to believe it's the real cause.

So sad to hear this. I couldn't believe it at first.
I did a twitter search where someone mentioned heart attack.... Only 38 years old...

Rest in peace my unknown friend :(

#157864 New Duma update

Posted by Sgt-Greco on 25 August 2017 - 09:49 AM

All the people complaining should write their own router firmware.

All the people complaining, have the right to do so.

Updates is a major feature in this product and possibly a good reason for someone to purchase. Announcements should be made with caution.
