#183021 R1 DumaOS Briefly Delayed

Posted by KzarofBacon on 2 weeks ago

It hasn't.

It was.  He quoted me without any text from himself.  In the next comment, he put his thoughts. To be fair, most mods on other forums would have either deleted his post or edited them to a single post.

But he did have the first post deleted.

No it isn't.

It's against the rules to spread false information though.

Apparently that isn't the case for the employees.

For someone that has nothing more to say on the subject, you post on this thread an awful lot.

Well that post is f'ing relevant to the topic....

Winds of Winter and Duma OS for the R1 will be released at the same time.

There's very little point in an Admin posting in here to say "no further update" when I've already said it.

Well obviously the hope is that someone who does know something would update the thread.  You're right, there's is zero value in a forum mod who doesn't know anything to post about the development cycle.

Maybe they could just post the flavor of the kool-aid they're drinking.

#178268 Why am I receiving zero support???

Posted by KzarofBacon on 14 April 2018 - 02:41 PM

I'm in the US and have ordered from Ultimarc in the UK a bunch of times. DHL gets it to me in a couple of days. Much, much faster than USPS ships in the US. It's on par with two day Amazon Prime shipping. Factoring in weekends, I'd say if you ship it today or Monday, you'll have a replacement by next Saturday or Monday.

#177500 Major Announcement: Netduma partner with NETGEAR to launch the Nighthawk XR50...

Posted by KzarofBacon on 06 April 2018 - 03:20 PM

Still on schedule!

Is no one else excited about this?  Am I missing a thread somewhere or missing something?  In 11 days, we're getting the updated OS right?

Are we still tracking for the April 17th release to those of us with an R1?

Netgear didn't want this news out until CES. Netduma had zero control over the announcement. Yes it sucks that you bought it now but blaming the company is pointless.

#167433 Couple of issues

Everything seems good to go now. Thanks for the help. If anything pops up again, I'll ask for more assistance.

Greatly appreciate your product and support.

#167226 Couple of issues

You should only have UPnP or Port Forwarding enabled, not both. UPnP will automatically open the ports needed for the game - but can cause conflicts when you've already manually opened the port. (It's not a massive deal, but it can slow down the Netduma interface).

I'd suggest removing the Port Forwarding rule you have set, then disable UPnP, reboot from Settings > Miscellaneous and enable it :)

That explains it. I had numerous issues last night including the interface being quite slow. I'll fix it ASAP.

Greatly appreciate the assistance! You peeps are the best.

#146367 DumaOS Announcement: Development Progress & Testing

Posted by KzarofBacon on 14 April 2017 - 08:05 PM

Caveat: I have had a few pints and am ready for more.

Let the devs work without worrying about when. I'm older than most here I think, but I vividly recall id Software saying their games would come out when they were ready. Everyone's situation is different so be patient. Let the good folks work and we will be happy in the long run.

To be honest, I'm feeling pretty happy now. A few more pints, and I'll be more than joyous. Enjoy the weekend.
