#135988 Netduma r1 not working on my network

Posted by fuzzy clam on 09 January 2017 - 07:58 PM

I test my pingplotter very often and get below 20ms on average. Some Canadian interference going on here I guess.... I love the netduma personally but seems like they should be a better way to get the correct setups for different parts of the world.

I would say your stats look good to me and if you're running PP and it's steady when you check it,then you're right that's a head scratcher.

I can't see it on your screenshots but is your gaming system in hyper traffic ?

And I'm not trying to sound like an ass but you mentioned not getting gameplay like you see on youtube, well for the majority of us we can't and won't.The guys that are beasting on YT they tend to have a higher skill set than most of us, that's why they're on YT.I am in no way saying anything negative about your skill as a COD player. There are several guys on the forum that are absolute beasts, they have a solid ISP,they have taken the time to set up their home network to achieve optimum results and have crazy skills on the sticks.

So if you're home network is set up optimally and your ISP is solid according to PP,the difference might be the skill factor.

I have 2 of the 3 things mentioned above, just lacking the skill's on the sticks... ;)

#133413 Netduma won't fix my lag

Posted by fuzzy clam on 13 December 2016 - 07:06 PM

In the ping graphs it usually is 50-80 but sometimes it jumps to 300

First off make sure your playing wired as those are some pretty big spikes.

How is your ISP ?

I would say run ping plotter to check your ISP but will wait for Fraser to chime in and see what he comes up with.

Thank you for helping all, im gonna look these couple days and if im lagging i will send the screenshots. Is that okay? One more time thank you :)

Of course it's ok to send screenshots, the community is here to help you out. There are tons of knowledgeable people on here who will bend over backwards to assist people having issues.

Hopefully as you get more familiar with the duma, you will become more comfortable with it.

Keep us posted on your results

#130706 DumaOS - Development Update

Posted by fuzzy clam on 19 November 2016 - 05:35 PM

Off topic kinda... but I'm just as excited as anyone for the new firmware to be released but those of us "in the know" knowing what we know from past experiences, part of me almost feels bad for Iain,Crossy and Fraser for the inevitable backlash that will come with the 2.0 release. As I genuinely like these guys and consider them friends but the amount of bullshit that's gonna come with the release, will be HUGE and IMO kind of sad. This is based solely on my experiences on this forum with other members.People are gonna expect the unheard of out of this new OS,which leads to a certain part of the community being extremely unhappy or pissed off with their results from it.And just like last time around a lot of the people who weren't getting the results they expected were either...A - had unrealistic expectations of what the firmware could do or B - their set up on their home network was incorrect with the duma only being used for half of it's features.

I just hope the masses realize that the firmware can only do so much for us as gamers, it's not gonna make you the next MLG star. But will definitely make our gaming experience better than without it by leaps and bounds.

It's just something to think about and keep in mind as the firmware gets closer to release date... ;)

#116284 Think i'm done...

Posted by fuzzy clam on 27 July 2016 - 02:22 PM

@ slashformayor...hope you get your ISP issue sorted out and hopefully you ran a lot more tests on PP to verify exactly what the issue is.

And I don't think Netduma can do anything about your request to not be thrown into games already in progress. That is all in the game nothing to do with the router or anything them can implement to help with that situation, again that's all in the matchmaking ( or should we call it filling in the empty spaces in lobbies ) in the actual game. But I can assure you no matter which developer...IW,3arc etc they won't implement that feature as we'd be playing in lobbies every game that were 2 V 6,even more than we do already.

#89136 Major NETDUMA Upgrade Now Available (v 1.03.6)

Posted by fuzzy clam on 10 February 2016 - 04:34 PM

Yeah the duma boys make it pretty easy to update, provided you stay on top of the FW upgrades.

Which brings me to my next point...how can some people be 2 updates behind ? Check your router or the forum for the most current FW version and stay up to date. You wouldn't "not "update your cell phone or computer at home so why treat your router any different.

If your current it makes things so much easier for everyone... :D

#87226 Q&A General Problems And Solutions

Posted by fuzzy clam on 02 February 2016 - 09:11 PM

Just my opinion but shouldn't we keep this just as a sticky and not allow questions on it as this is where people will start posting questions and it will be 50 pages deep and people will miss the point of the sticky and the questions on it.

I like the sticky and believe we should add things as they come up but it shouldn't become a "support thread" we already have one of those. This should be for reading, not a Q and A thread...more like just an answer thread.
