  1. Have been playing around for the last couple weeks now, and have seen a best of almost 900Mb/s, which is definitely acceptable. Thanks again for the help. Just wondering .. .. I see there is newer firmware, is it any different from the one you sent me? Should I replace mine ( 3.0.138)?
  2. Been a day so far, have done my ritual reset for the morning, and low n behold when I turned it on, the Xbox is being recognized as it should. Thank you for the firmware update, seems to be doing the trick. Still working on the throttled speeds.
  3. I have installed the new firmware and reserved the console in LAN Settings. It has only been one day but so far so good, the console is being recognized. Still working on the network speeds right now. I managed to get it up to 800Mb/s now, so we'll see if I can't tweak that remaining 200 out. I'll keep you posted.
  4. Hi there Fraser, and thanks for the reply! As I mentioned the WiFi is turned off, so I am connected with a Cat7 Ethernet cord. Also using Cat7 from the Cable Modem to the R2 Router. The only other thing I have right now, and also plugged in via Cat7 is my HP laptop that I am talking to you with, making setting changes with, and running the speedtests with (along with the console). I'm using the same equipment and same sites to run the test for consistency sake. I have also used speedtest.net and get exactly the same results ( so I'll give it, the R2 is very consistent with these settings! lol!) I'm just hoping that there's some setting that I missed that's reserving some bandwidth somewhere, and maybe I can get it back. One thread said the R2 was hanging up/glitching when you reserve an IP and said to set everything to automatic on console and router. I'll give it a shot and set up a reserved IP for it and see if that helps. Resetting everything everyday has become such the norm, it almost doesn't even bother me anymore, I kinda feel better when I do it just for sake of doing it, lol. Okay, on to the last answer and the whole reason I own an R2 .. The Geofilter has opened my eyes to just how absolutely important speeds are in gaming! (and location) And anyone who said what you just said has probably never actually felt what real lag is .. probably because you live in or near a server city. Sure you only need a few megs to .. .. Participate .. .. not to excel. Allow me to reiterate: I started with 100 up/down ( and using all the same equipment) and averaged a .75 kd/r. Moved up to 300 up/down, suddenly my gaming became a bit better, was almost getting an even kd/r. Then last year moved up to 600 up/down, and instantly noticed I was getting less lag, and was even breaking even or going positive on the kd/r more consistently. Now .. moved up to a Gig! Well god damn if I didn't just have my first game with over 40 kills in Dom, with only 4 deaths! Unheard of around these parts! Now I am very consistently getting 2 to 1 kd/r's in Dom, slaying lobby's, and actually being able to back up the legendary name on my gamertag! LoL! My combat record now shows a best 8.00 KD/R, 18 kill streak, and 65 kill game record, all in Dom, all in hardcore (I ain't no camper either). (It's what we play, so it's all I got to measure with), before I had a Gig internet, those numbers were nothing but someone else on YouTube, and they're not even that great, just for me that's some amazing game play). Next March our ISP is bringing in 1500 up/dwn, so I really hope the R2 can handle over a 1000 megs (I'm sure it can, its gotta be a setting somewhere). Because it might not sound like it, but I do absolutely love my R2 and specifically and especially the geofilter. Being able to see and choose the Xbox server is huge and knowing the numbers makes it even better. I see you have left me a firmware upgrade, so I will go in now and download it and go from there .. .. Thanks again for helping me out!
  5. Hi, not new to the NetDuma world, owned an XR500 previously. Just received my new R2 and we're already having issues with connectivity. Problem One: I have to reset my whole network every single day or the R2 does not recognize my Xbox One and will not show it online (side note: I have to leave the xbox turned on while i reset the R2 or else it still won't recognize it). I have gone through the threads and done what you guys have asked, I have set everything up on the xbox to automatic, I've cleared and re-reset up the router multiple times and still the same results. I've re-installed the firmware, done a master reset, reconfigured multiple times and still every morning I have to restart and reset everything. When I turn my Xbox off at night it would be just ducky if the next day when I turn it back on, if the damn router would just recognize that it's there. Yup, welcome to the 21st Century, where we have the most technologically advanced equipment on the planet today .. .. but we can't keep our gaming console connected to our network for 24 hrs. Problem two: Throttled internet speeds. I pay for a Gig of internet. On my Asus GT-AX11000 I get the full Gig. On my R2 I get 770. Every single time. Again I have read through the posts and followed the instructions. (NOTE: I am running a dedicated hardwired connection to my console. Meaning I have NO OTHER TRAFFIC on this line. I have a separate internet connection for the rest of the house). I have turned off all wifi, all bufferbloat, adblocker, QOS, everything. I have one console on this network and nothing else. If I had my way I would run it bridged or in a passthrough mode and use just the geofilter, it was my sole purpose in why I purchased the R2. My modem is in Bridge mode, so there are no issues there. I have my speeds set to 1000, the max the R2 would allow me ( even though we have 1500Mb/s offered here in my town. When I run the speedtest off my modem I get the full Gig, when I run it off the Asus I get the full Gig, when I run it off the R2 I get 770 very consistently. What is throttling back that 30%? And how do I get it back? ( I'm running the speedtest off Shaw's network, so I'm using the same test to get consistent results). When I run the test on the R2, it starts by slamming the needle right to 800Mb/s like it just hit a wall, then it tapers slowly down to 770ish and stays there for the remainder of the test. Every single time. I notice a definite difference in my gaming between the two speeds. Any help on either of these two problems would be great, but getting my speeds back up to a Gig is paramount and preferential. Thanks again!
  6. Hey there! Thanks so much!! Yes, I did a full hard reset and now my Geofilter is back up and showing on my screen!! Now to re-configure the XR again. I can't wait to get it set up again .. If yesterday was any indication then the XR500 was probably the best investment I have made for my gaming in a really long time. Previously my gaming was only mediocre .. averaging 1 to 1 kill/death ratio playing a decent round. (couldn't beat the latency/lag issues here in Alberta/Canada) I managed to get one game in yesterday on cod:ww2 WELL .. If I didn't bang off a 40 and 4 K/D!!! playing H/C War Machine .. It literally felt like I was playing in real-time! I probably am not the first to say this .. but this thing works!! Damn well too! I can't wait to get it all set up again. Thanks again for the great product, I will definitely recommend Duma o/s to all my friends! Thanks again!!
  7. I see someone else had the same problem. I swear I looked before I posted and didn't see his post, lol Going to try doing a hard reset.
  8. Hoping someone can help .. I just got my XR500, set it all up yesterday and everything seemed to be just fine. A few hours later I went to pull up the dashboard and look at the geofilter, all it does is think. I keep getting an error message that it's timing out and the geofilter won't load on to the page. No map, just an empty square with a spinning circle. Now everything hooked up to my connection takes forever to open as well, but it eventually will open. (it's like the wifi just added 20 seconds to open any page now). Should I do a hard reset and put everything back to original and start again? Or is there maybe a quick fix? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
