  1. So I haven't really had a major Netduma/internet problem in a while, but recently it's been acting weird. And I don't really know what the deal is. A couple of weeks ago, my wi-fi was dropping out for extended periods of time for seemingly no reason. Not only that, the Netduma would completely disappear from the list of available networks. The LAN connection however is fine. I have my PS4, Series X, and PC all connected via LAN and never have an issue. Also my NAT is still showing "Open" on my consoles, so no problems there. If I reset both the modem and router, it returns to normal. But then a few days later it will do the exact same thing. After about the 3rd or 4th time it happened, I went into my modem (it's a Pace 5268AC, fyi) to see what I could find. Lo and behold, somehow the wi-fi on the modem was kicked back on. I turned it off years ago. I never changed a single thing since, so I have no idea how this happened. And because of that, there was no password anymore, so I saw what appeared to be the entire neighborhood leeching off my Pace's wi-fi. I assumed this was the issue, so I disabled the wi-fi on the Pace again, reset everything, and the issue seemed to be resolved. But it just happened again for the first time since then. I double checked to make sure the wi-fi didn't get kicked back on again, and it didn't. It's still disabled (but what's weird is it's still showing 2 unknown devices connected to it, which is impossible because the wi-fi is disabled). So I'm kind of at a loss again. On top of that, I also noticed that I'm getting that message on the Netduma about "being connected to another router" and to "enable DMZ", which I already have done for the Netduma. That's never changed. I haven't gotten this message in like 2 years. So something's up. No idea what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My OS is 1.03.6h btw, if that matters. I also have a couple of other miscellaneous questions. 1. DCHP lease under "LAN". Mine is set to 12 hours. Should that be lower? Higher? Not sure about that. 2. IPv6. I asked about this a few years ago. But with the new consoles out and everything, I figured I'd inquire again. Should I still keep this disabled? Or will it be better to enable it for the new consoles? 3. I noticed that my modem has "HomePNA" enabled. Should I disable that? I don't even know what that is. 4. Any other things I need to modify or adjust to prevent issues or just to have the optimal experience with the Pace as the modem for the Netduma?
  2. So I have an option to disable iPv6 on my AT&T 5268AC (which is connected to my Netduma). Should I do that?I heard that it can cause issues, and that the PS4 apparently isn't even cabable of utilizing it. I'm also using iPv4 on my Xbone. Do I need it for my laptop? Or would it be better to just disable it altogether? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  3. So here's the deal. A few hours ago, I logged into my router settings and noticed I had 2 unfamiliar devices connected to my Netduma. All it said was "nameless device", and I was unable to delete them. So naturally I did a reset, but they popped back up. I did another reset, AND rebooted the router within the Miscellaneous Settings. Still couldn't delete them. Finally, I decided to block them, then do another reset. This seemed to fix the issue, as they haven't popped back up again. But now I'm experiencing 2 problems that I never have before. 1. My PS4 will not connect to my Netduma AT ALL. Wired OR wireless. It's not even listed as a named device anymore. Now it's just a "nameless device" with what seems to be a different IP. Which annoys me because that means all of my settings for it are gone. I continually get the error message "Cannot connect to the server within the time limit" whenever I try to connect. I've tried everything. You name it, I've tried it. In order to make sure that it wasn't the PS4 or my internet, I decided to connect it straight to my modem, and it works fine. No issues. What's the deal? 2. Under the Device Manager screen within the router interface, I get the blue box error message claiming that I'm connected to a router instead of a modem, which has never happened before and isn't really true. Yes, it's one of those modem/router combos from AT&T, but I disabled "router mode" on it so it should be acting like just a modem, which it was doing for years. Now all of a sudden it's a router again? I haven't even been in the settings of the thing in years. That makes no sense. I have no idea if these 2 problems are related, or what caused them, but I do know that I'm extremely frustrated with this and just want everything to be back like it was. Also I have not updated to the new firmware, for what that's worth. I've had the Netduma for about 2 years now and have had very few issues, and none like this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
  4. I had UPnP enabled. I have since I first got the router. I just decided to turn it off and try port forwarding because I was out of options. It wasn't opening the Teredo port for some reason though. No matter what I did, I could not get the damn thing open, until I changed the port used within the Xbox.
  5. Thanks for the replies. So as an update, here's what happened. My PS4 and PC were fine, so I knew that it had to probably be an Xbox issue. After hours of frustration and racking my brain, I ended up just checking out some of the settings on the Xbox One itself. I noticed in the network settings there's an option to select a port for the Xbox titled "Alternate Port Selection". I believe this is a new option as of a recent patch, because I've never seen it before. It was set to 3074, which is a port that Xbox Live has always used and needed to be open. I switched one of the 5-digit numbers listed, 52676. There were like 5 different ones listed. After that, everything seemed to go back to normal. That seemed to be the magic switch. I can't even select 3074 anymore in the port selection screen, so I don't even know how that got selected anyway. Hopefully this doesn't happen everytime I reset my router. Also, follow up question. Should I be using IPv6 for Xbox One? I know the PS4 doesn't use it, and I also heard of people having issues with it, so I just turned it off completely and used IPv4 on both. Should I go back? Will it improve my connection/online experience at all? If so, do I need to enable it in just the WAN/LAN sections on the R1, or in the misc section too? Any help is greatly appreciated as always.
  6. Ok, so here's the deal. I've had my NetDuma for close to year now with little to no issues. It's been working great and I've been satisfied with the product. However, tonight I've been having some major issues. So I'm playing CoD, and I notice I'm lagging a little (2 bars), which never happens. I decide to reset my router and modem (modem is an AT&T 5268AC, which after configuring it and disabling the wi-fi and what not a while back, I've had no issues with). After the reset, I notice that I'm unable to chat in a party. I check the network, and it says my NAT type is unavailable. It was always Open prior to this. I have literally tried every solution known to man to fix this. -Rebooting the router in every way possible -Resetting the Xbox in every way possible -Applying an alternate MAC address -Enabling IPv6 (it was previously set to IPv4, and now it says "IPv4 & IPv6" on the XBox, not sure if this has anything to do with it) -Disabling the geo-filter (which I only use for PS4 anyway, so it shouldn't even matter) -Disabling UPnP (which I always had enabled with 0 issues) -Port forwarding Teredo port 3544 (which isn't even showing up when I port forward it under "Port Forwarding Rules" in the UPnP menu for some reason, even after a reboot) I also did a scan through my modem settings. Nothing seems to be changed or out of the ordinary. IPv6 is enabled, the wi-fi is disabled (I'm hard-wired), DMZ is enabled, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
