HELP Trying to do the upgrade thru TFTP and the directions it saying is Connect a PC wired to router and set it to have a static IP address (example how do I do that thru the router with no access?

No didn’t try Big Dogs suggestion. I looked on netgear support page and read that you were not supposed to update using the button in the top right hand corner of the interface as Fraser said above. Would have been great to get a message or warning on the interface before. Because I don’t look on netgear support page daily. How about the modem? I am using one provided by my isp and seen something to do with ping spikes with the chip set. The modem is a Arris tm1602
