Any update on ETA of fix. I have the same issue and did several reboots. Now I am 1 day after a reboot and still am missing devices on network map so I cant manage them.

How do I tell whether the problem is internal or with the line (my provider). Is there an easy way to tell that? Perhaps by using pingplotter or something like that? I have a feeling its the line and would like to determine first if it is in my house(control) or not.

Had modem, internet, and this router for well over 1 year all tuned and working great. However, the last 2 weeks been having horrible PING and LAG spikes. Lost Packets.. Bounced router and modems several times.. I am at a loss why all of a sudden network downgraded like 400%. Any ideas - I would be grateful.

Based on Circle's website it doesn't say it is compatible. You have to make all kinds of changes like disabling 5G and LAN connections.. That is not going to work.. I looked into some of those other options as well but none seem compatible. This is my struggle - I can not find an option.

Hi, So I have read through some of the parental controls posts and it looks like there are no plans for an enhancement. The thing is I like this router but need parental controls more advanced than what it is now (filtering based on device, time schedule based on device, device groupings to profile, etc). With that being said alot of the "add ons" parental control devices don't work with xr500.. Disney Circle, Router Limits, etc so I am kind of left in a hard place. Anyone know of an option?

Thank you. I will try it out. I also understand the difference between lan and wifi but wasn't expecting that big of a difference especially on my 5G connection. However what value should I use in the bufferbloat at the max values? Should I use the wifi speed test or the lan speed test? Most of my connections are via wifi.

Hi, So all of a sudden having some where internet is dropping all together and additionally single devices seem to get starved form time to time. Definitely has been worse in recent compared to where I started out months ago. So wanted to play a bit with the bufferbloat. However when I plug my computer into router via ethernet I get 330 download speed and connecting via wifi I only seem to get 170 as the speed.. So Question 1) Why is there such a difference? Is this normal and 2) Which value should I use in the bufferbloat limits.. Should I use the wifi 170 or the ethernet 330?

That is a tough workaround considering alot of manual work to click and delete them one by one... Those devices will eventually come back as well.. If a list function is not planned perhaps a expand or collapse categories in the map would help.. (offline, 2G, 5G, LAN, etc).

So I have a ton of devices - heavy user.. If I showed you a screenshot of my network map you would see my concern. There are so many devices that it is very hard to even read what the map is showing... Is there a list option planned view or some alternate view of the network map in the future? The text at this point is unreadable I literally have to guess by clicking the icons with as many devices as I have.. Thanks.

You should confident about the XR500. I replaced my ROG with XR500 and all the problems that the ROG could not address the XR500 is or definitely improved.. ROG was new and only 2 weeks old but I replaced it immediately. Replacing a 400$ router with this only after 2 weeks was a big deal for me and I am very happy. Just my 2 cents. I have a very heavy use of my router.

Yes I do but doesn't let me know when updated.. When I check it says I have latest. V2.0.0.28 is what it says in system info - I am pretty sure same version it was when I opened it.

On the blufferboat I get an error "Error-noent" everytime I try to adjust it. Any ideas?

What is the firmware version with the update? I checked and it said I have the latest.

Thank you both for the reply. So it is up to Netgear to decide what features of Dumaos we will get? So even though that is the OS of the router / I may not get the full updates, patches, etc that you release with the software? I bought it only for the Dumaos so if I am getting filtered software I may reconsider..

Have the new netgear. It appears with the VPN client its all traffic or nothing. I can not find a place where I can route which devices I want to use the VPN client and which ones not too. Is this true? Is this a feature planned to come out soon if not? Also any parental controls planned? Did not see any.
