  1. @Netduma Fraser Ever since I switched QOS off I haven't had any bandwidth issues, so I'm guessing I'll just leave it off since I really only need it for Geofilter..
  2. Had a great weekend hope you did too! I just disabled the QOS, I'll let you know if the problem persist! I haven't been able to find any pattern to it, when testing the speed I alway start by testing using the connection bench mark. Then I test using the eeros, then I'll test using google speed test, and then speedtest.net just to make sure. Just a reminder this is how my setup goes... ATT Modem/Router (wifi disabled) R2 in the Modem's DMZ Eeros connected to r2 to provide mesh wifi where needed.
  3. Forgot to mention I have the R2 behind my Att router/modem and have the R2 in the dmz and nothing else plugged into the att modem/router and wifi turned off so that all routing is done through R2. Behind the r2 is my amazon Eeros to provide mesh wifi throughout the house.
  4. Hi Guys, Been to long, hope everyone is doing well and having a great Holiday season! So I've had an issue every since I had the xr500 and now the r2 where for some reason it limits my bandwidth to basically 1/20th of its potential on the download side, the upload side seems relatively unchanged. So I go through the setup process and because my bandwidth is 1 gb up and down it tells me I don't need QOS because my ping doesn't change when it does the testing. So the bandwidth sliders are unchanged, I'm basically just using the r2 or xr500 for the geofilter. Everything works well for a few days, no issues with the bandwidth but then out of nowhere my bandwidth goes down to around 3mbps down and 500 mbps up. The only way I can get it to go back to normal is with a factory reset. The other weird thing is if I unplug the r2 or the xr500 and switch to any of my other routers my bandwidth goes back to normal and never gets this issue (3 other non duma routers that I've purchased over the years). I noticed this issue way back when xr500 originally launched but switched back to my asus because I didn't really need the geofilter at the time. Then I noticed it again when R2 launched and again switched to my default router the amazon Eeros, because it wasn't critical for me to have the Geofilter. So I'm just trying to see if anything can be done, because I'd really like to use the Geofilter for Warzone 2.0 because the servers I get are filled with packet loss unless I use the Geofilter, but with the bandwidth restriction I can't really use any of my Duma OS routers. Thanks, Jerry
  5. loving the new interface, super intuitive. Haven't messed around with router settings basically in years and it took me all of 30 seconds to understand everything. One suggestion I have that is unrelated to R2 itself but more so the in regards Netduma as an ecosystem. I think it would be nice if you have a list of supported/suggested mesh wifi systems or access points. The reason why I mentioned this is that every router I've owned just doesn't run very well as an access point for some reason. I don't know why but just turned xr500 to access point mode and the upload and downloads are just bad now, and this isn't just the xr500 I also have an Asus RT ac87r that performs just as poorly when in access point mode. In a perfect world I would like a duma os mesh wifi system available for purchase but I know it might not be something you guys want to get into. Again great work on R2 and Dumas OS, it's looking great! I'll leave more feedback as I discover any potential issues.
  6. I thought it was good especially for people that aren't familiar with what's going on and also the setup wizard helps a lot too! The less information on the user guide the better for me just enough to get me logged in and check things out and let the wizard do the rest imo. But I am familiar with router interfaces so I might be out of the ordinary. Maybe a little of both, the first page is the quick setup guide and the other pages explain each feature.
  7. @Netduma Fraser seems to be every webpage that has adds, the more adds the slower it loads. At least that what it seems like to me
  8. Just got the R2 and love it thus far, super user friendly. It's amazing how far it's come since the early days of R1! One thing I've noticed though is if I turn addblocker on that webpages load very slowly, the moment I turn it off everything loads up fast again. Just wanted to let you guys know, not sure if anything can be done about this?
  9. @Netduma Fraser I was able to login tonight after selecting which router I was using.
  10. When I try to login in also tells me could not reach server. I'm using iphone 10s not sure what i'm doing wrong if anything
  11. hey guys do you mind sending me a link for the beta too? the one i've seen posted doesn't seem to work
  12. Been a long time since I've been able to log into the forum but finally allowed me to log in for the first time in about a year I'd guess. Just want to see what's up and make sure I'm running the latest and greatest on my xr500? Looks like we have some big updates in the pipeline and looks awesome!
  13. @Od1n we still don't have that on xr500? didn't know that thought it was baked into duma os
