Power loss and loss of settings (device manager and time)

I have enable cookies ticked under misc settings prior to the power loss yet I lost some settings. The main issue is with the device manager. I had edited all the device names to reflect their use/owner and deleted some old ones no longer around but now those changes are gone.


Also, I can't seem to get my router time use my PC clock time. I initially had to manually set the time to reflect my PC time as the NTP servers didn't seem to be doing anything. After a power loss (I'm on a UPS and had cookies enabled in the R1) the settings came back with the wrong time and I can't revert to using the NTP servers. I can still manually set the time but this behavior doesn't seem right.


Are these known issues?

VPN and Netduma resources

Hi again,


If I have the VPN enabled/connected to my provider but no LAN devices ticked to use it, is the connection still consuming computational resources from the Netduma? I would think not since most of the work is the encryption.


BTW, your router software has been a life saver in our household. Before implementation my spouse could barely play ESO if anyone else is online, and we now can use Netflix without buffering due to competing house members' usage.  :)

Router log file access?

Hi all,


I'm troubleshooting a nightly VPN disconnect issue and am trying to locate any log files that might be archived on the router. Are these accessible to the user? I'm not suspecting an issue with the Netduma, but will need the log files to see if I'm getting a reboot etc that could cause the disconnect.


I realize I can view the VPN log at the time I notice the disconnect, but I'd like to view the router log file as well.


I'm on 1.03.6h firmware.
