Apex Legends is now Geo-Filter Compatible!
Z.Janahi replied to Netduma Admin's topic in New Games for the Geo-Filter
It seems the servers location is a bit off The in-game list of servers says that I'm on the Singapore server while the geo-filter & iplookup says otherwise DumaOS settings: Filtering mode, Strict mode, PA on 100ms, Fast Search disabled -
Brah if you can't beat them join them that's the solution 😂

New XR500 Firmware Version V2.3.2.40
Z.Janahi replied to Mement's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Hi guys, Today trying deactivating PA on my XR500 and reverting back to GeoFilter only The way I have done it is that I have set my PA to 200ms (max) and moved the home marker to the location I want it to be However, after couple of restarts to the Xr500 & my console (PS4), it seems that the XR500 is not responding to the changes I made. So it keeps connecting me to the one server I used to connect to. I have tried getting the server in my block list however, didnt work as well. Screenshot is attached fyi. -

Have done a pingplotter test and these are the results, seems I have got few spikes every few often, should it be of a concern? Test was done over a wireless connection from my laptop to the router -

New XR500 Firmware Version V2.3.2.40

I looked up the domain IP and location on the map seems correct, my friends living physically close to me get a higher ping as well. If you can independently confirm the server location, I could verify it. How to test for network congestion? -

I have updated and tried utilizing PA exclusively as per the instructions given on the posted support article, I get an excellent ping in game and on the router dashboard, however the figure doesn't seem to be right since I was previously connecting to the same server and getting very high ping numbers. Attached screenshots show my current configuration. Can anyone explain why bo4 is acting this way? And which figure to trust? Is there an independent source that can do a ping test to a given domain? -

In the Allow/Deny option, I have selected a server to be blocked yet even after rebooting the game and refreshing the connection, I'm still connecting to the same server -

Thanks for the response. Can you please guide me on how to identify the server location using the domain address/name independent of DumaOS map (for info purposes only) P.S Any info on Ping Assist coming to the XR500? -

Update: Seems that server is now dropped with the latest patch 1.08 However, in game Network stats screen shows that I'm connected to a server while on DumaOS it mentions Peer BO4 needs a serious network improvement work -

Haven't tried with another browser/laptop, using Chrome on a windows OS system, will give it a try anyhow. Currently it's out of my radius however I rarely find games/players and it takes ages, sometimes when I find filled lobbies the host would be bad and the games host selection seems broken now on Bo4. Unfortunately no nearby servers around my location and the server shown is the nearest yet ping is always 150ms for some reason despite of physical distance being 600km -

I definitely had Auto ping disabled and then manually selected it for performing a ping test. The manual ping test was taking forever and never displaying any result/graph. Hence I stand unable to block it for some reason. Every time I connect to it the DumaOS can't give me details on it so I can't tell whether its the same server or not, but definitely it's the same server coz of the ping results found in-game. Whether it's a server or a server bank, how can I block both of them? If you need additional data/info please hit me up. -
