am i right in thinking that i might be able to ask my isp to reroute hops 4 and 5  also 7 and 8 on a

as i see it looks like there are 3 difrent routes my isp can take if i am thinking correct on eatch of these hops

This looks to be internal through your own network? it seems so low it can not be external and back.

You need to be pinging a few different external IP's bbc.co.uk is a fast server to test against as well as 8.8.8.8

sorry if this is a really stupid question

but are we able to ping  a dedicated server in cod bo3 say the uk   with ping ploter on any other programme

so we  could see the hops it takes  and are packet loss to the server

sorry if its a dumb question im just wondering if its possible at all

If your line is good quality you would have no jitter to begin with.

You can not fix a bad line with congestion control as it is ISP congestion more than likely causing the issue.

Now jitter would increase on a good line when other users on your network surf or stream so setting to 70% each way and forget about it is the best way forward as this will stop jitter full stop.

It does for me using reactive.
