Blops 3 prestige

That is super odd.  I'm 2nd Pr. and have received both "permanent unlock" tokens so far.  May want to tweet the support group.

Anyone prestiged yet? I just did, didn't get a permanent unlock and my unlock tokens reset to zero wtf?

Feature or bug?

I'm seriously considering not doing it,just depends on how I feel when I get there.

Felt the same way.  Have always prestiged but didn't want to lose all my gear this time.  At the end i decided i'd regret it in a few months if i wasn't master and could have been there when that time comes.   On the bright side, if you do presitige you keep all of your attachments when you unlock your guns again :)

So while you do have to unlock all perks, specialists, and guns as you level you do get to keep all attachments to your weapons unless if you decide to prestige the weapon separately.  Each time you do get to unlock 1 thing to get the additional class slot.

Lose just about everything for a shiny new badge, do you think i am stupid Activision? haha.

No thanks :)

Boy am I happy for you guys.  I am struggling so badly, the worst startup I have ever had; I probably loose 8 out of 10 gun fights, I know some of it is lag but the rest is my poor aiming.

I am also very frustrated with this "team leveling" I find myself in many matches where there are a couple of prestige on the other team and often they are partied up and I simply become target practice for them.

Yesterday I had one match where we were four against 3 but they were in the same clan and it was a massacre.  I only saw one player that shot  me and I was 0-7 within 5 mins and found myself alone in the game.  This morning I had two similar experiences, sure makes it difficult to have fun when all you get to do is die for you better players.

Don't get me wrong as I have often mentioned on this forum I know I will never be a good player much less great but come on at least I want to have fun and participate with some kills and not all deaths...

Sorry to rant but today was the straw that... well you know!  It is not often that I loose control but I am embarrassed to say I did today.

Maybe a lobby for players that have certain stats can enter would be good for learning the new game in.

So everyone moaned about Skilled based matchmaking. They take it out and presto, you get ass raped by Try hards every game. Not much fun hey?

Skilled based balancing was way better, but you need the player population to be able to work it. I think Trey arch will see many noobs not repeat playing, as no one likes being a punch bag for better players. So as the player population drops off, they may have to consider some sort of a level playing field for players who have lives and don't play video games because they don't have girl friends.

Skill based matchmaking belongs in league play.. no where else.   Pubs should be a 50/50 % chance of what you run into - good players or lower skilled players.   As a high k/d player it sucks just as much to have to sweat every match, sometimes you just want to relax.

Zennons idea of perhaps a seperate lobby for lower k/d people to play in would be a decent alternative.  They could play there if they want or in the reg publlc lobbies.  And tryhards of course get the League play.   The one thing i know for sure is that you will never get better if you don't play better players.

There really is no fair way for any gamer to play but pubs that base connection and then skill once the lobby is full is about the fairest and that's what they're doing now.   The only thing that may make it seem worse are the server issues.   Even low k/d's all seem like pro's at times if connections are bad.  When that aspect is fixed hopefully it will be much more enjoyable and seem fairer to every type of player.

Yea level 55 for me, screw prestige!!! As long as I have what I need unlocked, I'm good. I'm level 38 right now and I got like 10 unlock tokens.  :)

They should have brought back combat training like BO2. That is where people who are struggling could hang out. I always went there when I was tired of the sniper/shotgun infested lobbies.

Some time ago I made a similar suggestion - this is over simplification but take players below level 10 in a group then 11 to 20 once they hit 20 they move into the general mix.  This way when you first start you can level up quicker while at the same time improve your game player with players of a similar skill level.  They could also automatically move some one up who has a high k/d (say over 1.25.

Just a thought that I think would make a much better path for players to enter the mix without being slaughtered in every game.

PS - yesterday no matter how I set my Duma I got connected to the Seattle server (3,300 miles away) and lag really sucked.  All the servers within 500 miles had the little square symbol.  Today was ok but my lag seemed poor.

try a different game mode? not sure what you play but i do find other modes is where i have FUN. TDM is just misery for me unless i am slaying and racking up all my high killstreaks, though i cant imagine its fun for the other team. i really like demo and ctf [not sure if its in bo3]... or even sabotage. something that gives more of a sense of purpose to the maps and the game instead of corner camping or just running around a map shooting people. even at the worst in demo you can manage plants, defuses, and bomb site protection. or even draw fire away from teammates who are planting or defusing. i also found the players in those modes to be far more social and fun to play with.

HAHAHA my fave game mode is back, HC DOM, 26-6 and 6 captures 16 one shot one kill medals with KN44 and 2 collateral medals. 19000+ xp.

I started game with me against 4 and still managed to cap 2 flags and be 5-0 up till my team populated. Happy days, glad I didnt bail on the game when it was 1 on 4
