Dillinger Posted August 18, 2015 Share Posted August 18, 2015 Now that we have the inside peeps streaming, it must mean it's that time. And finally!!!! I'd like to use this thread to discuss what you have seen, or experienced first hand from our PS4 owner/members. So far, I like what I have been seeing. The sniping isn't over-powered at all (thus far). I have seen several misses without hit markers and really, when does that ever happen? The pistol back-ups seem to be doing the job of a sidearm. They don't "seem" over powered, but that three round burst pistol is going to be annoying. The specialists so far haven't been that impressive. The chain lightning is cool, if you have guys standing together or all capping a flag. Outside of that, I can really only see that being beneficial if you are playing a group of snipers who all run to the same location...LOL That bow and arrow is earned WAY too easily, and it appears to have some auto aim that the sniper rifles didn't. That could be a problem. I saw a lot of running and gunning on the maps. Granted, it's a Beta and no one is supposed to care about stats. But there were plenty of campers who were getting dunked on with flanking routes and teabag deliveries. I do like the flanking routes and that they take some skill because of the wall running. All in all, the number one rule applies thus far. Don't run down the center of the map....LOL Discuss what you have seen, or experienced. Let's help arm our fellow brothers of the [Duma] Army. JD EDIT: Watching Dom now with some former pro players and this is fun to watch. No one is going off, they are all getting their faces taken off and the highest streak I have seen called in was a Wraith out of a Care Package. The Wraith absolutely rapes..... Hellstorm Missile: Cool. Looks like it breaks into 5 or 6 individual rockets. Just saw a guy sweep out an entire side in Dom with one Hellstorm. That could suck if you were on the receiving end...LOL Remote Control Drone (Talon): Works the same as previous versions. Has a rotating minigun on the front end and can be taken down by small arms fire. Unsure about EMP. The Talon puts in work! H.A.T.R. - The new version of the VSAT. This appears to only show location and direction of travel when the player is firing. The rest of the time it seems to pulse, but I only got to see about 30 seconds of it before it was shot down. Od1n Posted August 18, 2015 Share Posted August 18, 2015 found the answer and incase someone has the same question here it is: basically keys are sent out when the countdown is finished, here the comment from the activision support: Emails containing a beta token will be sent out beginning at 12:00 AM PST on August 19th for PS4 and beginning 12:00 AM PST on August 26th for PC and Xbox One. AsNCo Posted August 19, 2015 Share Posted August 19, 2015 For those who wants to download it faster, just put your PS4 in Rest Mode.I managed to finish downloading but have no one to play with (in the pre-game lobby for more than 10 minutes already) because it seems that Treyarch has used the Geo-Location matchmaking again. So I can't get any players from any neighbouring regions like Australia even if I wanted to.Had my Netduma's Geo feature Disabled but with no luck.Oh well. bagsta69 Posted August 19, 2015 Share Posted August 19, 2015 Seems to be working fine, 800 KM and PA of 20. In game ping is reading around 15 MS higher than the Duma so not noticeable.
