I was wondering...

Recommended Posts

...if i don't have any static ip's set to my devices,ps3's,iphones and computers. And i have named all the devices so i know what's using my bandwith, aren't my devices gonna change ip's daily as the are all dynamic.I would hate to have named all of them and then find out today they are all different.I thought if you don't set up something in static ip the router will just hand out random ip's as the devices are turned on.I'm still new and learning the duma but still trying to figure it out.

The duma is smart enough to handle changing IPs. We tried as hard as possible to move away from using IPs and MAC addresses. As long as you keep away from the Settings menu you don't need to touch them. So all our main features don't use them :)

Yea i don't touch much on the duma as i have no desire to jack it up again. But it is really nice not to have to port forward or set static ip's on my ps3 that's just not what i'm use to.
