Set up modem-netduma-netgear nighthawk

Recommended Posts

Okay so currently Im using the netduma as the main router just behind the modem which is a normal modem without anything behind my netduma I hooked up my Netgear nighthawk. Currently my donwload should be 200 MB and 10 MB upload (says my ISP). Mostly of the time I achieve 100 or in good cases (when I reset modem and routers, happend with the nighthawk too...) I can achieve 180 MB Down . The upload stays constant at 10 MB

Now I have Reactive set on the congestion control. and deep packet inspection is off too.

Why can't I achieve more than 100 MB? Is my nighthawk needed for that kind of connection ?

By the way I saw my ping drop little bit on the speedtest's with the new router and I also have internet pages loading up faster... props for that.

Now I have a suggestion too could it be possible to zoom in the geomap it could be more convienient to find it and click on it to see the ping you have to the host. Oh and Host isn't really clear to me I couldn't find the biggest circle around the red dots... maybe make it so it's easier to recognize ? special colours only for host's and special color for dedicated servers?

Hi,

Glad it's working well for you. If you want over 150 then you'll need to swap the netduma and nighthawk round. Then connect the devices that you want above 150 directly into the nighthawk.

Wall > modem > nighthawk > r1 & fast devices

Hope that makes sense?

Thanks for the suggestions @netduma_fraser will collect the info :)

I need to look into this, something has restricted v1.02.6 I think. It could be ipv6. In the mean time can you switch them and I'll get right on it tomorrow hopefully :)
