Netduma R1 receives WAN IP but no Internet Connection when tested

I've been troubleshooting trying to get the internet connection to work on my Netduma R1 when paired with my Netgear Nighthawk LTE MR1100 hotspot. I've tried both the latest DumaOS firmware and the latest old firmware to no avail. The Nighthawk LTE hotspot supports a "IP Passthrough" mode where it gives the direct mobile WAN IP to the router connected to it's Ethernet port. I have no trouble using the Nighthawk in IP Passthrough mode when it's connected to my ASUS RT-AC86U router. The ASUS uses default WAN settings and pulls the WAN IP automatically with no connection issues.

On the Netduma R1 I'm seeing the ISP WAN IP listed on the Dashboard but there's no internet connection over Wifi or LAN. I can't open a web page or ping out to even 8.8.8.8. My Netduma R1 is using the default 192.168.88.1 and the Netgear Nighthawk hotspot uses 192.168.1.1 so I don't think there should be any DHCP conflicts there. I have already followed the troubleshooting steps I've seen listed in other posts from users having issues of no internet and have fully powered down and also factory reset both the Nighthawk and the Netduma R1 multiple times. I have also tried a different Ethernet cable.

When I try the Nighthawk hotspot with just default settings and the IP Passthrough turned off which has the Nighthawk functioning as a router instead of a modem then the internet works fine through the Netduma but it creates a Double NAT and I want the Netduma to handle all the router functions which is what the IP Passthrough mode is there for.

Any suggestions on what I can try to figure out why I get a WAN IP but no Internet access?

Here is a link to my Netgear Nighthawk LTE hotspot if it helps:

When using passthrough have you set up Static WAN in R1 settings? If not do that and should work. Also double check you don't need to use PPPoE.

I did try setting a Static WAN but I still had no live connection on the Netduma. I also wouldn't be able to continue using a Static WAN even if it did because the Nighthawk LTE hotspot gets a new private 10.x.x.x IP address each time it connects. And PPPoE isn't used for a mobile LTE network as far as I know.

You may not want to go down this route, but one suggestion would be to do this and then put your R1 in your Nighthawk's DMZ? That should solve double NAT issues.

It may come down to that if I decide to still use the Netduma but is there anyone that can troubleshoot this issue for me further? There's got to be something going on with the Netduma when it shows it receiving the direct ISP WAN IP but the connection is still down.
