Unknown Connected Network

Recommended Posts

My internet was working fine once I first setup my router. I got on my laptop and went to the software to adjust my bandwidth and connection amongst my house. Ever since then it kicked me out of Fortnite and also said there is another user connected (nameless device) when I know for a fact I only connected 3 (smartphone, Xbox One, laptop). Someone please help me because I spent big money on this router. Thank You.

Go to the page in the settings where you can see the MAC addresses. Write down the MAC of the nameless device. Then google MAC lookup tool. Once you find one enter the MAC of the unknown device. It will tell you who makes the device. That should help you figure out what it is. Its probably your computer's Wi-Fi connection, a TV, or a friend's phone.

Hey, welcome to the forum!

Can you expand on what happened when you were kicked from Fortnite - was it loading into a server it kicked back to lobby?

If one of those devices connected don't have a name then that will be it. It will sometimes say unnamed or nameless device if it's unsure what the device is.
