Monkeyfist Posted March 20, 2018 Share Posted March 20, 2018 Hi, moved from the R1 to the XR500 approx 1wk ago and all great so far! My firmware is on 2.1.0.4. the latest on Netgears Support site is 2.1.0.6. Under Settings/Administration/Firmware Update, on the GUI there is a button to 'Check for new version from the internet' but it comes back with 'No new firmware version available'. The Release notes for 2.1.0.6 state stability fixes. Should I upgrade manually? Is there a reason the built in firmware checker comes back with nothing available? Also, there was Firmware V2.2.0.4 live on Netgears site but this has been pulled? Do you know why? Regards Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

There won't have put it live on that to ensure there's no issues with it. E.g. if it had a major bug and everyone upgraded at the same time it would be terrible so it's phased out.
