Understanding how QOS works

Recommended Posts

So if I adjust my sliders to 70% & select when high priority traffic is detected, it will then reduce my speeds by 30% while I'm gaming, but not otherwise? But if I left my sliders at 100% it would not reduce my speeds? Or are the sliders a separate entity from the radial buttons?

1 Correct with When High Priority Traffic Detected selected.

2 Correct with any of the three selected.

"The radial buttons" or "flower" as some of us know them as are linked as the bandwidth available is divided amogn the devices in that circle.

That’s correct. If you want more info, click the ‘?’ Icons in the top right corner of each panel. You can also get a tour of QoS by clicking the ‘?’ Icon at the top next to where is says QoS
