Can't get internet with new setup

Hello,

 

I just found out the house i bought is set up for fiber internet.  I call the company and had them turn it on and it works if i direct connect.  However, i tried to re-connect my netduma r1 and as soon as i do that i lose all internet.  I'm not sure with the fiber device is, it's inside an access panel in the garage but i cant get to it.  The device is the Alloptic xgen 1000 i think.  

 

My desired setup is  alloptic xgen <> netduma router <> Ethernet switch.  

 

I plugged the cable from the alloptic device into the poe slot on the router and then connect to the switch which is wired to all the ports in the house.  But as i soon as i do that i loose the internet.  The message is saying it could not resolve dns.  I tried rebooting everything.  My router was previously use with a dsl modem so i had PPPoE enabled with user/pass, i made sure to turn that off.  

 

Any ideas?

Hi, welcome to the forum!

 

Try going into Settings > LAN on the Netduma interface and make sure Automatic DNS is disabled. Then type 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (in Primary and Secondary DNS respectively).

 

Also make sure IPv6 is disabled in LAN, WAN and Miscellaneous settings. Make sure to reboot from Miscellaneous settings after trying these steps. Let us know how you get on
