If you are receiving the error message "R-app is not loaded yet. Please try again in a minute" after completing the welcome setup on your XR500 Gaming Router, please follow the steps below to fix this issue. This is a minor issue with the manufacturing (teething problems) that has no impact on software/hardware so everything will work as intended after these steps:

We are sorry if you are affected by this problem during your first experience of the router.

Thanks for your patience and have fun using DumaOS!

The first link in part one doesn’t launch. Any other link I should try?

Could you try this instead please:

http://192.168.1.1/index.htm

Let me know if this works instead and I’ll update the OP

Thanks

Seems like chrome is trying to launch(see a black background screen) and then browser gives up. “ Site can’t be reached took too long to respond...”

Could you try http://routerlogin.net/adv_index.htm please

The final link worked perfectly. Thanks for your help. Also let me say you and your team are the reason I purchased the new router and I am excited to see your hard work in action.

Thanks so much for the support. Apologies for the initial expiry we've informed the manufacturers and their rectifying the issue immediately.

We're confident you'll love DumaOS on xr500. If you have an questions or issues please don't hesitate to ask (please start a new thread though).

Out of curiosity did you have an r1? And how did you hear about us :)

Yes I have an r1 and having more information about my connection (especially while playing COD) was the initial reason for purchase. I initially was made aware of your product through a Driftor video and after lurking in your forums for a few months purchased my r1. Having had fiber now for about a year your new product seems like a win win for me (improved hardware and dumaos, don’t mind if I do). Your forum team is very helpful and I appreciate how hard you all work to give us the best possible experience. Keep up the good work!

  • 1 month later...

What is the fix if this page says the below, I've already tried clearing my cache:

"You are not connected to your Router’s WiFi network. To access routerlogin.net, your device must be connected to your Router’s WiFi network. Check your current connection and try again."

Edit:  Maybe this is irrelevant if I'm already using Firmware V2.1.0.6.  But I started having this issue out of the blue tonight.

This means you are not connected to the router. Double check your WiFi connection - it’s possible it connected to another router when you waited for the upgrade went through.

If the issue carries on after you have checked this, try powering off your router, wait 30 seconds, then switch back on

I'm not connected to another router.  Power cycling the router doesn't fix it.  I wasn't able to connect to www.routerlogin.net when I first setup the XR500, but I got around it by just going to 192.168.1.1.  But does any of this even matter if I'm already on firmware V2.1.0.6?

I'm kind of confused, are you getting R-App not loaded on this latest firmware? Are you able to access the router interface?

Can you access 192.168.1.1/adv_index.htm in order to follow the instructions?

I can access that, but I think I now realize that you can access that instead of routerlogin.net.  I was following exactly the instructions at https://kb.netgear.com/000053269/XR500-Firmware-Version-2-1-0-4, and didn't realize I could swap out #2.

Can you confirm that I should do these steps if I'm already on V2.1.0.6?

I've sent you a PM with details. Yes because you're receiving the R-App not loaded error you should upgrade to resolve it.
