The lack of clarity on nighthawk availability in UK and april for dumaOS r1 on top of everything get me wound up.......but I am really super chuffed for dumaOS.

Yeah I thought as much regarding NDA or t's n c's of a contract which really amounts to a gagging order, but at the end of the day it is business and netduma have come a long way and deserve every success they gain from this partnershiip.

I earned the gamertag BlindMeatShield! my vision is now 20/600 on a good day(no, glasses don't help) if you need any "tips and tricks" on how to continue to play CoD efficiently let me know. There is just something satisfying about outplaying people in CoD when by all accounts they should have crushed me.

I soundwhore a lot, scuf jumpers catch me out sometimes but i hold my own and still finish in top 3 on hardcore games most of the time.

I had eye surgery last december but was not successful and when i returned to work i felt unsafe as my job was a little dangerous so I took voluntary redundancy/ early retirement when the chance arose in june.

I felt I had to explain why I have been a little peaved regarding the duma news yesterday and that I aint normally a knob head and didn't want to come across as not wishing netduma all the success they surely and truely deserve.

I must admit I do get a huge kick when I get 30 or 40+ kills and single figure deaths with my eye condition. It makes me realise that I still got it.

Nice to hear from you and to know I aint the only visually impared player out there.

Sorry to hear about your eyesight BD,that's a huge kick in the balls to say the least. And I'm guessing that the "early retirement" was also not your idea.

People that don't know any better say "that's great early retirement" but if it's due to your situation and not your idea, it sucks.

I would find some hobbies or do something on the side to keep you busy as people tell me that it helps.Just don't become sedentary, stay as active as you can.

Hope things work out well for you... :D

@Iain - that post needs to be stickied.

I'm personally really happy about the Netgear partnership - they supply the premium hardware, NetDuma supplies the premium software and the consumer wins.

The only "hang on..." moment was the perception that anti-spike and anti-jitter won't be coming to the Netgear. What your post seems to indicate is that it'll hit the R1 first, then go through an approval process for the Netgear and may appear at a later date.

If that's the case, stick a SOLD label on one of those bad boys and I'll swing by to pick it up in the morning. Might be a tad troublesome from here in Ozlandia, but the sentiment at least rings true :)

Yeah, I've been trying to get clarification on that too as there are some on the forums saying the XR500 won't be getting the anti-spike and anti-jitter feature, but here in Ian's post it reads as thought it might just take longer to implement the feature pending NG's approval.

I did see what it would cost to get the XR500 to Aus using a forwarding service; AustPost came at around $45-$50 to my door if you willing to pay the additional shipping. Decided I'm happy to wait for the software to release for the R1.

So its safe to say that unless improved wifi is REALLY important to you, stick with the R1??

The slower R1 chipset may also prove to be a problem for DumaOS. We'll need to wait and see what happens there.

I think if the R1 chipset was a problem they would not develop the new OS for it. It wouldn't be ready for release if it was unfit for the R1.

Yeah, I would say so for the time being. I have no network issues with my config like many others on here. I shall wait and see how things pan out.
