Netduma ping problem and strict mode broken

Hi to everyone this is my first post to Netduma forum and i tough my first one here would been a happy feedback but that not the case .

I have about 9 day with my R1 and everything been horrible i set my router using upnp/dmz method test everything set every setting the way is supposed to be so i star to play WW 2  looking at my  Geo-filter ping graph and my ping was going from 10 ms,20 ms,40 ms,60 ms,80 ms,100 ms and sometime 200 ms going from 3 bar to 2 and 1 bar and then i will go back to 8 ms and this will never stop and also my R1 interface will freeze and load for a least 2 min using strict mode. so i star looking around in the forum to see is there is way to fix this problem i have 3 day trying everything nothing have fix my problem.So i decide to not use strict mode and without this mode my my R1 interface will never freeze o load for ever but my ping graph will be almost the same but i don't get 2 bar or 1 bar. Now i got to the point that i tough it was the WW 2 servers but that not the case i went back to black ops 3 and the problem is the same. So today i decide not to use my Verizon router with my R1 i connect my R1 straight from the Ont and not use upnp i set my setting the port forwarding method to see is this fix the problem but it dint fix the problem. Please someone help me with this problem do i need my R1 replace or is my Isp. This imagine that i upload is with the new setting i dint take any screen shot with the first setting using strict mode upnp/dmz method.

if you are using upnp then also enable upnp forwarding and disable upnp on your isp router. Also download a program called pingplotter and run it for about 15 - 20 mins and send us screenshots of your results as you may have a line issue. This will be evident with lots of spikes. Before starting ping plotter make sure the jitter tab is enabled also. Sorry for the delay is replying but it is 6am on sunday here in the UK.

thank you for the respond but like i said im not using upnp method no more just port forwarding to get open nat type and i will try ping-plotter and take a screen shot of my result.

Im new to this program i don't know if a run this right but this what i see.

Ping twitter.com, set the interval to 2.5 seconds, focus set to auto, run the test for a minimum of 10 minutes (30 minutes if possible) make sure no one is using your internet during the test. These PingPlotter setting willgive you the most accurate results.

you have something serious going on there looking at that graph.....you have no packet loss but it don't look good. You could do with doing the same test without the netduma connected so you are directly connected to your modem/router. It will not be the netduma but to prove it to you and for you to rule it out I would do it again without the netduma in your network.

Were other devices using the internet when this test was done? Have you used Congestion Control at all?

i believe my daughter was using her tablet during the test and yes i use congestion control i will reset distribution,and do the test one more time with out no one using the internet at all.

I'd suggest contacting your ISP to ask them for a replacement, they'll probably want to send an engineer because they're annoying like that. What make/model is that router?

 

This can't be resolved with a 1 on 1. The problem is with your ISP router/line and it needs to be resolved before anything else.

No problem. I've seen a similar steps/sawtooth pattern myself, I swapped my ISP router and I've not seen the pattern since.

 

If they send an engineer to your house, show them the graph (the one where you tested straight from their router). They should swap it over for you right away.

 

Once the engineer hooks up the replacement you should run the test again (straight from the new router) while the engineer is still there.

If that one does the same thing then ask for a different kind of router/modem instead.

Yeah,just as others have said there is way to much of a pattern for that to be "just a bad line".

 

Hopefully as Boom said it's just a bad router and after you swap them out the issue will be resolved.

 

But do post back and let us know how you make out, best of luck.

Well my isp send a guy i show him the ping plotter graph he dint know anything about it so he did a test and he told me everything was fine no pocket loss my fiber speed is where it need to be so what do i do from here. The router my isp provide to me is Verizon fios g1100 gateway wireless router. And one more question it gave me the same pattern using the netduma r1  without my isp router connected.

Okay guys short story after reading colonicboom replay i star to get mad and call me isp and told then i want a new router so we can rule this out. So I went to they near store pick up the new router open up ping plotter and here what i got.

 

Can you guys please give me a suggestion on what to do from here because this Verizon people don't have any idea what ping plotter is.

okay guys now after fighting with Verizon for hour in the phone they star doing some tracert google.com on the command prompt and i guess they saw something wrong. i don't what they did on they end that have changed the graph on ping plotter i did a quick test while they was still connected to my pc using the internet and this is the way it look now.
