Wondering if i am doing something wrong.

Recommended Posts

Hey i wondered if you guys could help me. I set the geo filter up but it seems to still give me hosts (aka big red circle) outside of the area i set.

It seemed to work a lot better before i port forwarded. I am not sure if i am getting on to dedicated servers or something but every game it puts the big red host dot in america i am in the uk.

If it is servers is there anyway i can deny them?

Thanks

Hey, have you clicked enable under the device you're playing on? I know it sounds silly but I forget sometimes that its been disabled. If its definitely enabled let us know and we can help you further :)

Hi Nathaniel,

It won't be anything to do with dedicated servers. It could be a couple of things, first are you sure that it is enabled? Could you take a screenshot of the 4 service boxes for example mine looks like this:

Thanks for the help. I reset everything redid all the port forwarding disabled then re-enabled my xbox one on the geo (thanks btw did not know you could do that) and it seems to be working now. Thanks for your reply and i will update tomorrow if i have the same issue again. Hopefully its sorted now!

Ok brilliant thanks. Port forwarding shouldn't affect the geo-filter at all. But if it happens again please let us know and we'll address it ASAP.

It could be one thing though, we have an anti-cheating feature. That basically means once you're connected to a player you will be for up to 2 mins after the game has ended. The idea is to stop people using it to boot players out the game. Is it possible you set the range large enough to play US got a couple of players in then reduced the size. Now those players will still connect to you for at least 2 mins.
