The biggest issue with WW2!! (besides connection)

Camping!! What on earth has happened to this community? In the past camping and head glitchers were frowned up on but ww2 is plagued with these guys.

 

Hey guys this is my opinion only by the way, if you’re experience is different I respect that however my experience these campers are killing the game.

 

To be fair sledge hammer are at fault because this of the lack of create a class has given these campers the freedom of camping with ease and enabled them to control the flow of the game. They are able to shut down any side of the map they want and they aren’t bored or ashamed to sit there for 10 mins and let the game timmer run down on that 6 - 0.

 

So why has this become such a problem in WW2? The only thing I can think of is fact that you can’t go full stealth, mountain will silence once your footsteps and keep you off radar however not being able to run a suppressor defeats the purpose and your chances of a successful flank go out the window not to mention how slow the soldiers run on this game which just makes it worse. So if you decided to run airborne to make use of speed and suppressor the enemy can hear your foot steps from a mile away and again as before you can’t flank. This is what I mean by campers controlling the flow game. whereas in the last cods especially with boost jumping the rushers controlled the flow and even on previous BOTG cod games you could use stealth and speed to flank. Even the ability to move faster while aiming down sights would help unfortunately you’d have to run a whole different division for that!

 

We were told these divisions would give people freedom and diversity, yet most of the people run mountain anyway which makes streaks useless further adding to the camping issue. It just seems the whole thing has been planned and executed poorly by SHG and this is the game we are left with. If you’re a rusher forget it this isn’t the game for you!

 

Now a few changes that should be implemented (in my opinion) which would improve the camping situation;

 

1) footsteps completely silent using a “perk”

2) ghost - off radar only when running.

3) generally quieter footsteps.

4) unlimited sprint

5) reduced or no flinch

6) espionage only works when the player is moving or only to the player who has made contact with the enemy

7) COUNTER UAV WORKS AS BEFORE - total shut down of mini map

8) inbuilt stock - move faster while aiming on all guns

9) sprint out time and ads tone greatly reduced.

10) Supressor on any gun

 

The changes above are reasonable and ones you’d expect SHG can change easily, my dream changes however would include;

 

1) divisions scrapped and create a class is taken back to it used to be.

2) less head glitch spots on maps

3) able to pick 2 or 3 perks instead of the one we are currently allowed.

4)I’ll put this here as I don’t think SHG will implement it supressor on all guns.

 

Sorry about the long rant I really want to enjoy this game but the way it is now I just don’t have the patience to sit in a corner or in a house and out camp the campers and the alternative is to run around and get killed by people who do not move.

Agreed Ben the connection is horrible but in its current state the camping is a huge problem because at least with camping we have proof it’s happening with connection activision always turn a blind eye offer useless advice like “play wired” lol

I have been hunting campers with SMG's since MW3 (played since MW2) and usually with 3-3.5KD. Top reasons for me why it is now harder to deal with campers

 

1) Can't stay out of the radar, have silent footsteps and use silencer. 

2) SMG's are not that good in this game. Even BAR kills faster in close combat.

3) Connection issues.

4) SBMM (Or other players just got way better in 1 month)

 

There has allways been campers after the CoD release. Now they just made the camping so much easier.

Every BOTG COD game had an epidemic of campers during first couple of months. It'll die down when they get bored.

 

BTW, total silence meaning silent footsteps, off radar, and silenced weapon is viewed in the same negative light as campers by a large portion of gamers. It produces undesirable and frustrating gameplay as well as raising the percentage of uncontested kills. The truth is this is used to get uncontested kills. Nobody these days Takes pride in beating the guy in front of you. Takes the gameplay back a level. They did the right thing by limiting this.

 

Besides, why don't you use the division that allows a silenced SMG? Then shoot down the UAVs or use counter UAVs when their UAVs are up. This way you have to earn the privilege of running around the map off the radar. By the complaining I'm seeing it tells me that people don't want to earn it, they just want to have it and disregard what is fair and balanced gameplay. Yes it is unbalanced. It is the only style that produces uncontested kills.

There's always campers in CoD, but in this game there seems to be an epidemic of them. Personally I think that the main reason is that the maps are terrible, worse maps I've ever played.

 

There's so many different routes, every map's like a maze, people are scared to move plus they seem to be built to suit campers, headglitch & camp spots everywhere.

Agree with everything you said, I'd love to see those changes.

I don't even know where to start on the changes they need to make to make this game fun.

IMO they've messed up so badly that it may not be salvageable.

 

A few things to get started...

 

Nerf the snipers ability to drag you.

Allow silencers onto other weapons.

Nerf the flinch.

Nerf the strafe speed.

Nerf the BAR.

Various other weapon balances.

Nerf the grenade spam.

Give us some customisations options for Hip/ADS sensitivity and deadzones/slowzones/acceleration on the sticks. Something feels funky.

 

Scrap most of the maps and start again with new maps. More than nine of them too.

 

There's a lot of others too, most of it is rotten.

Hard to earn a kill when the game is laggy, aside form that you’d still get sound whored and running around isn’t an option either with the camp/head glitching

I usually run a stealth class on every CoD I play, I couldn't care less if other people view that in a negative light. You think that makes me a bad player, then please feel free to check out some of my YT videos.

 

Everyone has their play style & rushing with a stealth class to flank the enemy is mine, however you can't do it successfully on this game. CoD should cater for all play styles & usually does, unfortunately this game is poor & only suits one play style, the play style of spawning in, staying in your own spawn all game & head glitching.

 

This game is dead already unless they make some serious changes.

Use smoke grenades to safely cross their line of sight and flank.

Problem solved.

Would love to see you do that infact why don’t you?

Post a few games on YT of you flanking and killing people using smoke grenades without issues. I’d be very interested in seeing it action as things are easier said than done. Feel free to post your video here. Don’t forget the sound whoring and unsuppressed gun you’ll be using so good luck!

Problem solved.

 

That will help you once (I assume you only have one smoke) to cross an area but it won't help when you run into the rest of the team that are randomly camping and head-glitching every other corner on the flank route. Or when you get shot in the back as soon as you go past another camp spot. Or when you finally get there and you put 5 bullets into the camper and they one-shot your foot. Or when you kill the camper but then everyone knows where you are so you have to run out into the open, as grenades are surely coming within 5 seconds, while you're one-shot from dead, etc.

Everyone has their play style & rushing with a stealth class to flank the enemy is mine, however you can't do it successfully on this game. CoD should cater for all play styles & usually does, unfortunately this game is poor & only suits one play style, the play style of spawning in, staying in your own spawn all game & head glitching.

 

This game is dead already unless they make some serious changes.

 

I like to run stealth too. That doesn't make you a bad player, it makes you a player that finds camping, waiting and ADSing constantly, an unrewarding and boring experience. And you'd be right.

 

I've always liked doing a bit of everything, run+gun stealth, run+gun care-free maniac, mid-range assault, cautious attempt at 'flawless', sniping, maximum irritation*.

Sometimes go lock-down to make sure of the win in tough lobbies, I mean when you patrol a mid-size area (I'm thinking 'Fallen' on MW3), not full-on corner camping a room but not wandering off into a teammate's area elsewhere on the map either.

*Maximum irritation like where your team claymore a bunch cars, then bait enemies to walk past and then blow them all up by shooting the claymores. Tricking noobs into amusing deaths, etc.

 

And playing as a team where you tactically decide who is going to play with what setup, two snipers placed in these two areas, 1 noisy mid-range assault to keep the enemy occupied, 1 silenced mid-range assault to confuse them, 2 stealth rushers to ruin the enemy from the flanks.

 

Whatever happened to that CoD? That's what I'm missing.

 

This CoD seems to be all about picking a gun that is the least likely to see you get destroyed, searching the length of the map carefully for enemies and then searching back the other way because you didn't find any, wondering where the hell they might come from in the maze because they could be anywhere, frenzied 50/50 random luck gun-waving hipfire jumping-drop-shot encounters, 50/50 random luck head-glitch flinch+recoil shoot-outs, trying to avoid snipers on Gustav and USS Texas, trying to avoid grenade spam, trying to avoid getting shot in the back, waiting to regenerate health. I'm just finding it boring.

Thank god I don't play this game! No bloody stealth class!???

 

I'm purely a stealth player, always have been.

 

I can't even play IW without Ghost and Dead Silence (when ever I try it results in many many deaths from behind)

Even without a silencer I find things very differcult, always seem to kill someone then get shot in the back instantly after (although my unsilenced KBar hasn't been doing too badly on Mayday lately... that seems to be the only map I can do well on with no silencer)

You can have a class where enemy UAV can't see you AND enemy scorestreaks can't see you AND you have silent footsteps. But you can't have a silencer.

 

Or you can run a class with a silencer but then you have to choose ONE perk to go with it... Either 'quieter footsteps' or Ghost. Not sure if there is a 'blind eye' perk at all.

 

I run the KBAR without a silencer, love it.

Not been bothered by campers. Just kill them just like every CoD. It's the poor connection and quickscopers that annoy me into putting the game up, and lack of maps and no good ones of the 9 they made. Even had a whole 1bar game tonight. Everyone had 1bar. Unplayable.

The whole game is odd it's like curry with no spice, everything is missing but it looks ok.

I play war a have my own in game stats, how many times I die to grenades, snipers, stuck in parts of the map,how long can I stay underwater ( before I die ).No point running up the beach pointless, getting killed by the tank, shoot first but then die with three hitmarkers, or building the wall and blowing myself up.

Honest it's great fun.

The only issue that’s making this campy style usable is the terrible hit detection and shoot first die first. When I’m in a good lobby I can easily destroy campers, when I’m not they are simply standing waiting to kill you while your line catches up. If they fix the inconsistency in game all this wouldn’t be an issue. Yes if I’m getting outgunned before seeing people I’ll drop and snipe usually with 10 to 15 kill streaks easy if not more, it sucks cause I don’t like the campy bs, but until they fix hit detection and terrible lag comp it’s the only option which is sad. It’s gotten worse this holiday weekend for me going from 35-3 ish to 15-15 or 15-17 suddenly. It’s not better players, it’s not mistakes, it’s simply the quality of the lobby causing some people to benefit and others to lag behind. There’s no reason to go from a 5 plus kd to 1 or less other than issues on cods end making the game play bad at times.

Game is really based on luck of your connection. Most times mine is crappy as can be. So much so I can end up stuttering in game. You can even see in killcams how different the lag comp is by where the other locations of the players. Going though doors is an easy indicator where you pass though, start shooting other player and instadie, but kill cam shows you haven't even entered the door yet when they started firing on you. I remember how bad it was on MW3 when it first came out. I chased a guy round a corner and he sat and reloaded... I thought easy kill and started shooting then bam, I'm dead... killcam showed him reloading and pre aiming at me before I came round the corner. Ghey.

Yes exactly this point, one game you go like 30 - 4 and you have amazing hit detection then next round same lobby maybe one or two players change and you go negative and connections has turned against you. There is no guessing as to how a game will turn out although I’d say 1 in every 10 games play good. A particular setup works amazing one game then the same setup turns into a hit marker machine for the next 10 games it’s a joke are these the 60hz servers they were bragging about?... I’d like to go back down to 20hz please...
