Wi-Fi or hardwired

Recommended Posts

Just wondering on this..I don't have a desk top pc..i do everything with my laptop...when playing cod..i run the duma interface so I can watch ping and who I'm connecting too etc....I could always notice playing blops3 when someone was using their cellphone on Wi-Fi cause it would feel a little laggy. My question is do you guys think when using my laptop to hardwire it from the duma and not go Wi-Fi or use a ethernet cable while playing?...or could it just be me and it makes no difference?

sorry...its modem to r1..and I have my laptop wired to the r1..i just wasn't sure if leaving it Wi-Fi while playing and running the interface would cause lag or leave it wired in while playing since I like watching the map while online playing

It wouldn't cause lag in the game to leave the laptop looking at the map over wifi.

But because you're on wifi I suppose the ping graph could be influenced, any spikes you see on the graph could be caused by you viewing the graph over wifi when they're not actually there (unless I've misunderstood).

In my experience, keeping the map/graph open while you're gaming just causes you to get killed more because your attention is not 100% on the game.

haha...i agree but it I like to see what servers I'm connecting too ..but I have been keeping it wired so hopefully there's no ping problem..thays for your answer

Yeah that's not going to cause any problems, I just meant when people watch the ping graph throughout the game.
