Weird wifi issue with AP

Recommended Posts

Hi people. Been a while! Not really a Netduma issue but a dual router setup issue.

So I have Netgear Cs600 modem>netduma>Nighthawkx4s in AP mode for 5g wireless.

Everything wired goes to the netduma, wireless to the nighthawk.

In this config, the wireless is intermittent. Text messages don't go through half the time. When it's just the nighthawk they work 100% of the time.

Any ideas?

Ed

Ok tried that, didn't help. lol iMessage works 100%. SMS is flaky.

And if your phone is sending your SMS through your internet instead of through your phone service, then that's why. So either wifi calling isn't off, or you turned it off on your device but your carrier hasn't turned it off yet. Either way, the cause is because of turbo mode being on or using the reactive algorithm... But the real problem is using wifi calling, cause if your service sucks so bad that it is enabled, why do you still have that carrier? Lol

I'm with Verizon.

There's your problem, more than likely the person on the other end isn't getting the message anyway lol

But to fix it, turn off turbo mode and switch algorithms. If that doesn't fix it then your AP is setup wrong cause I run the same setup without an issue. Modem>Netduma>Nighthawk X4S
