results from dsl reports are not quite accurate and can be a bit misleading. If you want to test the quality of your connection you would be better using pingplotter!

I don't trust DSLReports as they always show ping fluctuation that Ping Plotter doesn't, therefore I think DSLR is inaccurate.

Out of curiosity, and I had nothing else to do! I spent hours playing with the CC and DSL reports and I had A+ across the board and the graphs were all in line showing very little buffer bloat.

I tried the game(s) and I must have been in crap lobbies because the game were a crapfest! Checked my setting on DSL and the were all A+.

I don't bother with DSL anymore, I accept the the games are going to be hit or miss, good or bad.

As Big Dog suggested it is probably better using Ping plotter to get a more accurate picture of how you line status is :)

Don't forget that achieving a consistent gaming experience, especially on COD is a multifaceted problem...As for me, I can achieve pretty decent results playing COD with proper setup. I'm not the greatest player but I stay competitive.

DSL Rreports as a general tool for testing your line is not a bad thing, especially since it's free. Also, don't forget that if ever the bufferbloat gauge jumps out of the green even for a split seconds means there are issues somewhere. You might get three or four lag spikes sometimes and still get an A+...

I've never tried strict but moderate plays so much better for me than open.

That's probably just because of the distance to the server it's pinging.

With ping plotter you can change what you ping so you can pick something closer.

It doesn't really matter what your ping is in Diagnostics as long as it's stable. Your in-game ping will be relative to your distance from the host.
