Warning something went wrong when trying to ping

Recommended Posts

I've had this warning a few times now. 'Warning Something went wrong when trying to ping. Please make sure no devices are VPN'd and that your firewall isn't blocking the ping result'. I don't have a vpn and my Duma is the only router that's connected to my fiber box. I don't have host filtering on. Is there a way to turn off the firewall on the Duma? Anyone else got this warning message and how to fix it?thanks in advance

No way to disable the firewall settings on the R1 currently.

You may have a device enabled in the VPN settings. A disabled device looks like the top right picture. An enabled device is the picture under the disabled device. Make sure you disabled all the devices on the VPN pages. You may not be connected to a VPN but if a device is selected it can cause and issue with pinging.

If you are still experiencing issues, try these solutions:

  • Disable Adblock on your web browser.

  • Disable your PC's firewall.

  • Disable your PC's antivirus.
