Problem whit upload speed

Recommended Posts

Hello!

Finally got my Netduma home yesterday. Ive have a internet off 250/100 Fiber.

My problem is that i only get speeds up at maximum 4 Mbits!?

My download speed is ok.

Ive been reading the forums and done all off your guids, but stil nothing works.

Have seen that some other people also have those problems.

Tried my old router (Asus RT-AC87U) and no problem there to get my 250/100 speeds.

Is this maybe a firmware problem or a hardware?

( sorry for poor spelling )

Please help!

hi mate try putting the cc sliders at 100%, click on reset device prioritization, tick turbo and super turbo mode in misc settings, also you might see more speed by entering your isp dns servers in the wan settings, also select reactive over preemptive.

Follow Roy's advice above and also disable IPv6 in both WAN, LAN and miscellaneous. It's not a firmware / hardware problem as many users have speeds as high and higher than yours. It's definitely just a settings issue so no need to worry.

Hey, welcome to the forum!

Double check you've done everything from here:

  • Reactive Algorithm
  • 100% anti-flood
  • Share excess enabled
  • Reset device prioritisation & apply
  • Disable IPv6 in WAN, LAN & misc
  • Disable deep packet in misc
  • Enable turbo mode
  • Enable super turbo mode
  • Ensure the ethernet cables you're using connecting the R1 to hub & R1 to PC are Cat5e+/can handle your speeds.
  • Do a wired speed test from a PC

Hello fraser

Have done all off those things aswell....

Still nothing

What have you typed into 'Set Bandwidth'? Also try removing all devices from Hyper Traffic and double check everything Fraser suggested before running another wired PC speed test.

Also, which firmware version are you on?

Hello Jack!

On my upload speed ive have set it 100Mbits. Have already removed devices from Hyper Traffic. Done all off Fraser suggestens.

The only thing it helps is my download speed. It went from 80Mbits up to my 250Mbits im paying for. But still nothing on my upload speed sadly.

Is there anything else on this router thats determs my upload settings?

Really want to use the Netduma but whit this low uploads speeds i cant use it :(

Please let us know which firmware version you are on - you should be on 1.03.6.

Also ensure that when you reset Device Prioritisation, you did that for upload as well. I would untick Super Turbo mode for this. Try factory resetting the Netduma - hold down the reset button on the router for 5 seconds. You could also try unplugging the Netduma, rebooting the Modem, waiting 5 minutes and then plugging in the Netduma.

Did you try switching out the Ethernet cable to the Netduma as well?

Yes im on the latest one ( 1.03.6 g/h )

Ive also tried to reset, unplug / plug my router again.

Tried to switch my cabels. ( Stil works whit my old router )

The thing is that there is something "holding" back my upload speed.

Thats why as was wondring if there could be a bug in the firmware for some reason

Thx for helping me out Jack! :)

Alright thanks for trying those solutions. This is an issue that's come up only a couple of times in the past, it's a weird one. The best way to get to the bottom of it would be to do a 1 on 1. If you make a post in the Request 1 on 1 section of the forum and let us know what dates / times you will be available next week we'll take a look.
