speed test on pc with netduma ping 6ms

That's normal.

Speed test websites ping a server very near to you, Xbox 'detailed network statistics' often pings a server much further away (like Seattle).

Xbox ping test is inaccurate and wrong. Don't worry about it.

actually it's not wrong, just every xbox connects to servers in seattle usa to do a speed test so the ping is high.

Actually it is wrong, because it regularly shows 900+ ms ping or 100% packet loss when XBL is having issues, and people think it's their internet not XBL. So again, don't use that as an accurate test of speed or ping.

i posted more with the place servers are for testing in mind than the accuracy i should have removed the wrong part of the quote but am only on my second coffee and forgot too...

Think they have one in this country now coz mine always says 16-20ms. Used to always say 160ms.

The network test has always worked well for me and all my personal friends.  No outrageous pings unless there was an actual issue with the xbox servers.  Are you guys wireless or wired when running this test?

I am in AZ BTW so maybe that is why it works for me while the East coasters have  issues???

cable test 180ms .. im from italy XD

Next time you run it, check your geo map on the netduma and see if you can identify what server you are pinging.  If pinging a US server than that explains your bad erratic pings.

Yes they do, mine is nice and low now too, like 15ms. (Used to always show 160ms).

This seems to be a very recent change.

I'm in the UK and for years it's always been pinging Seattle (until very recently as N3CR0 said), so it was pretty high at about 160ms.

with netduma never see 30ms...ok server in seatle but egual with netduma and fritzbox ù

It's just hitting a European server sometimes and a US servers at other times that's why it's giving different results. It's probably related to the Xbox's half-broken geo-locating. There's nothing wrong and no problem to resolve.

If you want an accurate result when testing your ping, you need to run a wired test through your computer and manually choose the server you ping.

If there is any automation involved then you're at the mercy of the automated decisions that have been made for you and your results can quickly be skewed.
