Can a WiFi connection add any lag to my hard-wired connections when playing online? Just wondering if people using my wifi will add lag.

In short "yes" first come first serve basis

but you can do things to help with this, using Congestion Control.

I know, I have set up my Netduma the right way, so the more people on wifi the more lag then.

If you have CC at 100% then yes, they can cause plenty of lag.

If you have it set to mitigate the lag (70% CC + hyperlane) then they won't cause any discernible lag.

I understand I can't have 100% I have set it up where my BB is A+ all the time.

Any device that can obtain an ip address from your internet service provider can cause congestion on you home network. (ie. computers, smart tvs, smart watches)

So there's lag all the time, I see.

Exactly. Now the question is are you going to handle it correctly or incorrectly but it will be handled.  Congestion control is key but there is no blanket answer. You have to find your own answer by trial and error with the sliders as I like to call them. 70/70 is a great starting point.  And use www.dslreports.com as a test to determine when you find the sweet spot as well.

I actually had the Netduma for a year this month and I paired together with TC-7610 and my BB is beautiful A+ across the board and yes I already found my sweet spot. Thanks for the reply.

Just in case you have not add the console to hyper traffic so your packets are first in the queue.

Have all devices connected to the Netduma for congestion control to work.

Yes, sir, I have.
