Glazeko Posted May 17, 2017 Share Posted May 17, 2017 So guys my problem got my bad to worse. So my previous problem was my technicolor tc8715d provided by spectrum. The modem was faulty, it was not giving me my full speeds which I thought was 150mbps which I found out I'm supposed to be getting 300mbps download. The problem with the modem was packet loss. I had a sort of a stable ping. I had 4 technicians come here and check my lines replace wires and all that crazy stuff. Finally they replaced my modem with a Arris tg1682g. My Duma doesn't give me 300mbps download I get a max of 80. I have tried using turbo and super turbo mode one at the time and also at the same time and nothing. The modem is in bridge mode, also found out I don't have a stable ping no more. I be getting huge ping spikes out of the blue moon. I don't understand how why the netduma has trouble with most modems. I need your help guys. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ping plotter tests will definitely help; make sure you run one for a few hours (pinging something like Twitter.com) with your Netduma in the set up and not in the set up - That way you can determine whether the Netduma is causing any issues or not. The results of the Network Diagnostics test usually indicate something wrong with the other equipment or your ISP line rather than an issue with the Netduma itself. The Netduma is compatible with almost all ISP modems / routers. Please post screenshot of ping plotter tests and we'll take a look. Furthermore, make sure you have these settings enabled and let us know if they have an impact on your speed: - Reactive Algorithm - 100% anti-flood - Disable IPv6 in WAN, LAN & misc - Disable deep packet in misc - Enable turbo mode - Enable super turbo mode - Ensure the ethernet cables you're using connecting the R1 to hub & R1 to PC are Cat5e+/can handle your speeds. - Do a wired speed test from a PC Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

When I get home I will do some ping plotter tests. Weird but I highly doubt it's a problem with the Netduma, as mine works just fine with my ISP modem. On my new ISP I've never seen anything other than exceptional across the board. I also get my full bandwidth if I'm using 100/100 reactive. I made sure to check on the drivers. i also updated them and still can't get the high speeds. I also purchased 2 new cat6 Ethernet cables and still not getting the my true speeds. One of my laptops supports 5g wifi signal. i tested it with the modem/router combo and i got 180 download speed. had to take the modem off bridge mode to do that test. both laptops cant get near 100 download speed hard wired with neither the modem or the duma. anyways i disconnected everything and ran a ping plotter test straight from the modem and these are the shocking results....This Arris TG1682g its worse than my previous modem, but also the previous modem had issues too. The TG1682g is way worse tho... As Zennon said above, the issue is your new modem rather than how the modem is interacting with the Netduma. Since you've got new wires, that's ruled out as well. You're better off shopping around for a new modem model since that one's giving you some really bad lag spikes. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I thought the netduma would resolution this but it doesn't. They still happen. I'm going to disagree with my colleague as I think here misread. As your devices network cards won't allow you to get more than 100mbps there is no point having super turbo on which will essentially disable congestion control and therefore not help with spikes.
