blops2 love/hate relationship

I've had this relationship with this game from the moment it came out. The second it came out it played awesome for me for about two months. After that it was absolute garbage for six months and then played awesome again when they rolled out the hybrid servers.

 

Now that it's BC it's of course p2p and it's so hit and miss. This game is absolutely horrible at picking a host. The other day I was playing and it was fairly horrible until I was host. Everyone was now on full bars and I didn't hear any squeaking. Next game it picks a new host and 3/4s are on 2 to 3 bar with frames dropping everywhere.

 

I seriously have no idea why COD doesn't actually check hosts for packet loss. Of course I don't know that they don't, but it's pretty obvious.

Oh I will add that I downloaded all the map packs at the start of BC and quickly got rid of them thinking that was the cause. Of course it wasn't, but once they patched the game it has been a ton better.

 

Today I downloaded the map packs again and deleted them again. The connection just isn't there and to be honest I didn't really care for the maps anyway.
