Anyone else experiencing this?

Hi guys, i'v had my Netduma R1 for quiet a while now, (a little bit after AW was released) and when i first got it and started using it i was amazed, hits where registering extremely well, there was minimal lag and the all round online gameplay was just better, but for the last year or so now i feel that my R1 has just become a bit useless hits not registering, takes ages to find games and lag spikes, i'm not sure if this has got anything to do with the fact that iv upgraded my internet from standard broadband to fibre

(Ping:11 DL:75 UP:19) around the time of BO3 was released, but since the release of BO3 and IW i just feel it doesn't really make a difference to my online experience anymore,if i use the Geo-filter i connect to EU servers and ping around 15-25 ms but it takes forever to find lobbies and a lot of the time it tells me 0 matches found and puts me into a lobby by myself, if i don't use the Geo-filter my ping is exactly the same, i'm still connecting to the EU servers but i find games/lobbies almost instantly, with other games such as battlefield, overwatch etc i dont use the Geo-filter at all as i feel its not needed. I just wondered if anyone else feels the same way/ having the same issue or am i doing something wrong? and yes i have updated all the setting in the R1 since iv had Fibre installed.

P.S im not bashing on the Netduma R1 in anyway, it's one of the best pieces of equipment i have purchased in recent years, i just feel its not as useful as it once was.

Thank you for taking the time to read.

another thing i do lately which helps me a lot is when i start my ps4 and I am on the main screen after login I enable geo filter then start the game and when i finish gaming i disable it again.  I get instant games where as before then it was a bit hit n miss.

If you're getting 75/19 it sounds like you're on BT/Sky FTTC or something similar? I moved from Virgin Media cable to BT Infinity and the difference is incredible: lower base latency (almost half), no random packet loss from the router, and no spikes up to 40-50ms every few seconds as before. If I connect to the UK IW server I'll get 7ms and it'll never rise over 8ms. Despite paying for 100/6 from VM I usually got more like 50/5 and I had to reduce my bandwidth sliders to around 25/35% respectively just to get an A grade on DSLReports' bufferbloat test, meaning I got up to 30ms additional latency if any other device was using the line, on top of the regular jitter. With BT Infinity I can use 97% sliders and average 1 or 2ms bloat, as DSLReports shows a base latency of 7ms, 8ms while downloading and 9ms while uploading. Pretty sweet for gaming right?

Well IW has been my worst CoD experience to date. Even if I restrict myself to playing on the UK server only I get maybe 1 in 100 games that don't feel like I'm stuck on a two bar. Some days other servers (Netherlands at 12ms, France at 23ms etc.) play better but it's inconsistent. I'm clearly behind the action a lot of the time, getting misaligned aim assist over enemies or simply no hit detection when hitting dead centre. I can get into a gunfight, see and hear delays, fire the kill shot, make a 270° turn and then get the final hitmarker, only for me to check my Duma graph and see my connection isn't spiking and there's no performance fluctuation. I've come to the conclusion that matchmaking is so poor, now that players from Asia are frequently connecting to west EU servers, and the maximum latency allowed for a "four bar" has been raised by about 25%, that everyone else's poorly optimised connections are affecting my experience. Some days it'll play flawlessly on 7ms, yet the next game in the same lobby it'll be laggy.

It's a far cry from my Ghosts days when I'd simply get on and play, with no bandwidth management or Netduma to find better connections on more local servers, on a not so great connection, yet hit reg was flawless and 99% of games were fun (if I managed to avoid M27 bush wookiees ;)). In IW my connection, gun skill, reaction times and speed, map awareness, spawn knowledge and the ability to create an ideal class for any given scenario are all far better than they were three years ago, yet I'm not getting anything from it just because connections are so poor.

I wish I could blame my ISP, or Netduma, or being drunk 24/7 (I'm leaning towards trying this... LOL) for the poor experiences but I occasionally find flawless smooth games with my line performing exactly the same as usual so I'm at a loss tbh.
